yeah they're generally docile about stinging I guess, since it's suicidal for a bumblebee.
It's hooked or something and would rip their guts out once they tried to fly away, I think.

That and I'm not exactly comfortable around creepy-crawlies in general

i think honey bees have the hooked barbs while wasps and bumble bees have regular barbs allowing them to sting repeatedly...

Not bumble bees only honey bees. I've seen both sting someone and only the honeybee left something behind.
The barbed stinger is kinda of unique to Honeybees.

Oh

Well that doesn't explain why bumbles are so peaceful then
But just the presence of the stinger makes me too jittery to be around them

I just think that they are docile for other reasons. I don't know what they are but I do know some facts about them, it takes negative five degrees Fahrenheit to kill the regular ones, that they live underground.
Though in one case I have witnessed a bumblebee bum rush a pair of wasps outside their hive.

But think

A breed of domesticated, stingless bumblebees
A fuckin colony of pet flying fuzzballs

I want such a breed to be developed, I do

Those are brilliant! I hate it when you spend ages on something and then it breaks during baking. The problem with the stuff I use it once you get in the oven things start to go a lot softer and fall, like my Groot - I would have loved to do him taller. I had to keep checking on him to push his body and arms back into place.
