And I would agree with you, but Mass Effect got worse and worse as it went along. I like the games, but they just turned into shooters in space with choices. I don't want to play a KOTOR game that's a 3rd person shooter with a crappy cover mechanic.

Everyone has his own opinion it's fine. I enjoyed it the way it was, we just have a different taste to this. :)

Lucas Arts did not make KOTOR 1 and 2, Bioware and Obsidian did, and they both still exist.

hardly. it's a basic MMO, with crappy endgame content, poor graphics by today's standards (reference rift and guild wars 2 (or guild wars 1 for that matter), and it's vaunted story mode was extremely sub par, no matter how the story ends you never feel like you actually made a DIFFERENCE in the galaxy, which is very unlike the original KOTORs (my very favorite games, having played KOTOR 2 47 times). Furthermore the morality choice has been reduced to nothing when you pick which side you are at the BEGINNING of the game; even if you want to play a dark side Jedi you aren't presented any truly evil choices, just a few that make you into a douche. super disappointed. would rather have had KOTOR 3 with 16 alternate endings than SWTOR, which, I say again is, basically shit.

My or your opinion on the game doesn't change that they made SWTOR to be the sequel to Kotor 2. That was their design idea and that is what we got instead of Kotor 3.

Yes. However as we have found out the last few years, the entertainment industry is a fan of doing "resets" and the demise of Lucas Arts severely hampers that possibility. Perhaps if enough people acknowledge how crappy SWTOR is (a fact acknowledged by it's very creators based on how fast it went to F2P) the public could persuade the industry that there is enough niche market out there to make KOTOR 3. Your opinion of the game DOES matter.

I suppose, Lore wise SWTOR was alright, and I enjoyed some of the game, but the way they told the story (while all voice acted with quality) didn't always go in the best of directions and yes the fact it is an MMO severly hampered the option for choices.

But due to have unfinished Kotor 2 was I doubt they will make a true Kotor 3, they are more likely to make a game that plays like it but features a different story segment in a different part of the History of Star Wars.

The Tripwire Bundle on the site is like almost 3 bucks for all the KF DLC and RO1 and 2, much better deal than steam imo; unless you want those two other tripwire games.
