I do notice that a lot of the users who hate 9gag today weren't even around in the prime of that, and I though we even knew better back then. I guess it's the newfags who perptuate the 9gag hate (it's been months since a good amount of the website actually paid attention to them), while it's probably a good amount of the userbase here that thinks posting "le" "ironically" and making crudely drawn MS paint versions of somewhat popular reaction images.

Rage comics are posted a lot less than they were last year yet they tend to have the comics flooded with "Cancer!" which is the newest buzzword on FJ, a misinterpreted version of 4chan's use of it. It's funny how nobody complains about the many other memes FJ has abused for months. I don't really give that big of a damn about rage comics or even the actually abused memes, but we have quite a lack of self-awareness.

Seriously. I don't even know where to begin. People on this website simply get extremely butthurt about it because "le" is associated with 9gag unless used in an "ironic" way. Speaking of 9gag, I wonder why we still bother bringing that website up anymore.
