I was talking about diminished, augmented, 7th etc. chords.

Those chords have patterns too, just different ones. Music is all about patterns.

For diminished chords, you move up 3 half steps from the base note, then three more half steps from that note.

For augmented chords, you move 4 half steps from the bast note, then four more half steps from that note.

7th chords are simply adding the note two half-steps lower than the base note to the chord.

If you can find a chord, look for a pattern, then apply the same pattern to a different base note. You'd be surprised how easy patterns are to learn compared to memorizing all the chords.
