i hope you mean affordable. and yes it will make things more affordable.
there are many objects which are severely overpriced that will be simple to print with a 3D printer.

Actually, considering that the non-3d printing manufacturing methods are in fact cheaper for large scales, other than customizeable items we will likely not be using 3d printers because they'll be cheaper.
INSTEAD, what will most likely happen (at least as far as the near future is concerned) is that companies will be forced to remove the large mark-ups they have on their products in order to KEEP their products cheaper than if you 3d printed it. Most of these products can and will still be more cheaply produced and sold without 3d printing, but the threat of 3d printing beating their prices will force them down much closer to the actual manufacturing cost.
