Well if we only access 10% of our brain power then that means that there is alot more potential for the human brain. I've heard of out-of-body experiences before when the person is looking down right at themselves & move around freely. I think the release of this "hidden potential" can make us an energy type being.
User avatar #5 - cartergrey (11/04/2011) [-]
Beautiful. I'm fond of meditation and personally study astral projection, but I... hmmm...

Do you by chance listen to Tool? One of their songs is 46 & 2 and it expresses the desire to overcome your human delusions and to overcome many barriers that we recognize subconsciously as our own negative, or shadow. There is also a book called 'Your Sacred Self' by Wayne W. Dyer that talks about the journey of overcoming our own Ego. Upon said triumphs over our current minds, we can maximize our potentials.
Thus, death becomes another delusion. We delude ourselves into believing that we were ever alive. A religious concept that follows hand-in-hand is that there are some who are to realize this and become greater, while many people won't. Those who do not, well, they live life to experience the trials against their faith in God and Humanity. They will "go" to the "afterlife" which may just be extraplanar space that exists in a different reality. Maybe not cross-dimensionally per se.

But what becomes of us when we bring down our walls and exit this fleshy form? Are we to be condemned to wander this finite space and world as ghosts of our conscious selves and mingle with the energies of our universe? Maybe that's something I should look into...

Okay. Will you please elaborate on this for me? I've been doing a lot of research into similar subjects of conscious beings and the entity concepts. I just want to hear your thoughts on these things. Firstly, for conversation's sake; I want to you to tell be about what we become after death, assuming we are not that already, bound by the mortal coil. Grazie.

I too haven't played it. What sort of consoles is it played on, and if many, which do you reccomend.

Thanks :3
#324 - cartergrey (10/24/2011) [-]
I play TES IV: Oblivion, Fallout 3 and Fallout NV on Xbox. I've preferred it because I can just dive right into the games and I didn't spend heaps of money on the hardware for a PC. I DID, however, play Oblivion and New Vegas on a great PC for a while and it was a much better experience. The modding community gives you access to incredible player-made content and gaming options. The graphics, with the right equipment, can be drastically enhanced; so much so that Oblivion felt almost cinematic. Besides, if you prefer the feel of a controller, you can download free X-Patch software to hook your 360 controller to your PC. However, don't feel like you're missing out on anything by playing on consoles, as that's what I play on and I have been a committed consumer of Bethesda products since TES III: Morrowind on the original Xbox. You still have the great experience of the fantastic worlds that Bethesda produces.

Upon this, a fine enough night, I declared joy to the night sky and the shifting clouds and glowing moon. Happy to be here, and be alive on this new holiday of mine. Happier still, to know that for some night, maybe even an instant, That this holiday made someone I care about also happy. That they bore a sincere smile; even for an instant.
Worthy, this night, or noting here. On this grey tablet where I stow what thoughts I can't go without. Glad to have been experiencing this night, and into the future I fight on, knowing that this isn't the furthest I can take this. I will see you soon, because VALEO PROSVM, and I'll earn that which I recieve. HPYBDAY

“There is no conflict between the ideal of religion and the ideal of science, but science is opposed to theological dogmas because science is founded on fact. To me, the universe is simply a great machine which never came into being and never will end. The human being is no exception to the natural order. Man, like the universe, is a machine. Nothing enters our minds or determines our actions which is not directly or indirectly a response to stimuli beating upon our sense organs from without.” -Nikola Tesla

Even though people claim beauty is subjective, it can also be objective in certain aspects. Take for instance the painting. The woman, at that time, was attractive. Why? Because fat meant a good life. You couldn't get fat by being anyone in those times. Why do we see fat people generally unattractive now? Well... because we live in the present where getting fat is a sign of laziness, and gluttony, and lack of self control or respect for your own body. A lot of other things are objectively beautiful or ugly, if you look within the context of the era.

GOD ******* DAMMIT!!! WHAT THE **** !!! I just ******* want that happiness, that place that I think I belong in. I ******* bled for four goddamn years through and through and I may as well be a stranger to you. ******* HELL.

Goddammit, I just want you to linger in my airspace a while. I want YOU to look into ME for once. I ******* Die Every Night Now. This is so much worse than whiling away those empty hours when I was alone. Now I am ALIVE, and It burns like hellfire through my eyes. My skin ******* CRAWLS when I think that you may be preyed upon as you leave my protective reach. How can I be such an transparent thing, passed over as though the air barely changes currents. Or am I worse?
Am I the pariah unaware of his state? Do I encroach upon you and your life as a parasite? **** ! Why can't you see me... just... once?

A groan of tedium escapes me, startling the fearful. I have become too accustomed to being a figment in time for you. But I'm still right here, giving blood, keeping faith. And I don't really have anything to show for it... I can only pray that the answers will come as my trials grow.

The world isn't going to get any better since we have caught ourselves in a feedback loop of institutionalized dissatisfaction and rage. We have practically eradicated the only things that give human existence any meaning (compassion and empathy) and then we piss and moan about how harsh and meaningless it all is. We have an economy which is fueled by nothing more than keeping everyone as needy and unhappy as it can, we accept as a maxim that others are different and that everyone is necessarily out for themselves, we only change (by necessity) from one unsustainable mode of living to the next unsustainable mode of living, and then we wonder why we feel unfulfilled, lonely and pointless... doing everything in our power to avoid coming to the obvious conclusion that we have permitted all of our personal misery and done our best to ensure the misery of everyone else in the process.

Nothing would be easier than making the world a better place, an ACTUAL better place for everyone, but since turning self destruction around requires a collective will and, most importantly, the ability to put aside pettiness, nothing is less likely to ever happen.
