The best iternet we could get cost 60+ dollars a month and could at best get an upload speed of 2 mb/s. And that was a huge upgrade fom our previous internet that almost cost as much, but could barely manage 200 kb/s

The telecomm infrastructure in a lot of Canada is fucking garbage.

I'm lucky that there is fiber infrastructure here.

I live in a fairly major city in Australia and with my current ISP I can get about a max of 160kbps download, that's the max, it's usually less. It makes it so that even torrenting things isn't even worth the trouble a lot of the time because the internet will not work for anything apart from that one download (not saying I torrent a lot or even want to, just that it's so bad I'm no even willing to get them for free, I buy my shit in store).

Wow. And here I was thinking it might be nice to move to Canada one day. Not gonna happen now, get your shit together, Canada.

By the way, a guy came to the store I work at, and we were talking about Canadian money, and I mentioned that it supposedly smelled like maple syrup. He had a bill, so we tested it, and holy crap. Get your priorities together, fix your internet.
User avatar #15 - carlonord (09/08/2014) [-]
I've never actually tried that with our money, I'll have to see. And in all honesty Canada's pretty awesome, minus some people here and there, and our shitty gun laws, shitty internet, and some little stuff.
User avatar #50 - DmOnZ (09/08/2014) [-]
Our gun laws aren't shitty... they may be confusing, but far from shitty.

Sounds like you want to be loved, not want to love. And this'll make you very volnuaravle in a relationship

You need to stop holding onto your ideals of love, and let things just happen
You've got these barriers set up for yourself when you could be experiencing so much more
User avatar #204 - mrevitcartta (09/01/2014) [-]
To be honest it boils down to how you were raised and how you took things in. It's the puritan origins of the country, where we are taught that saving yourself or waiting is a beautiful and noble thing, and we look down on those that sleep around. Look at it from an objective view without applying morals or values though and what is it other than just sex? I feel slightly sad for people that sleep around, but I also acknowledge that it's just my puritan upbringing and there's no basis for it. There is very rarely a "Special First time" Like most people imagine it to be. My first time, I was 12 and she was 12 and we were in junior high and it was just her laying there in pain while I continuously said sorry while putting it in. If it's a first for the girl don't expect amazing sex either because it really hurts a girl if it's her first time. But all of this aside I can tell you honestly to not even worry about it. It's your sex life and so only you and your partner at the time have a say in it. If you sleep around so be it, there's nothing wrong with that. If you wait then so be it and there's nothing wrong with that. I also prefer sleeping with a person that I am fond of, but i've also had many partners that I knew going in were only in it for the sex. It was still good sex, but I do prefer emotionally fulfilling sex. Just my own experiences and perspectives, hope I helped somehow.

Welcome to FunnyJunk, home of the virgins or the one-timers.
Seriously though, I am a virgin and whilst I'm looking forward to my first time I don't wanna throw it away. Whilst I like the idea of one night stands just because free sex, i would go out and do it. I wanna wait for an actual relationship, I don't smoke, I don't do any drugs and I don't drink alcohol much, I'm pretty withdrawn due to a violent background so I find it hard with social skills but fuck it, it'll happen when it's ready
