No, he is not. He writes crappy Emo-lyrics. There is nothing great about him. I've been listening to metal for all my life(my dad influenced me with his taste in music), and I have never heard something as crappy as Slipknot. Corey Taylor, your band is bad and you should feel bad!

I like Slipknot, but Stone Sour, the lyrics are bit cheesy, but good if you don't care about it.

You don't care about the lyrics, which wouldn't be as bad if you cared so much about the instrumentals. The thing about that is, the instrumentals aren't that good either.

I wouldn't call him a musical genius, but from what I've heard of Stone Sour, he has a good voice, and his collaboration with Apocalyptica was brilliant.

I think he is a genius, going from the sheer insane passion of a song like blister exists then at the click of a finger he can sing a song like through the glass or write a song like snuff. You have to appreciate that's pretty special
