Yeah, the webcomic started in like 2009 or 10 I think, the author ONE drew it himself and initially the art is pretty bad, not unreadable but not near Murata's redraw level of art.

the problem here is that American Sign Language (ASL) has a fundamentally different grammar and syntax structure than English (and most other languages). ASL cuts down on many unnecessary words, such as articles, and many adjectives. another problem that arises especially when interpreting music is that ASL is a very literal language, there isn't much in the way of figurative speech that transfers over very well. When interpreting a song, an ASL interpreter will first do what's called "glossing" where the interpreter will break down the lines of the song to their base meaning, and then interpret that base meaning. In my opinion, she did a very good job of breaking interpreting this song.

While I do see where you're going with this, I do have to disagree. Sign language may seem non-complex because of the elimination of superfluous words, however, one could argue, that it is a much more complex language because it can convey just as much if not more than spoken languages using a smaller vocabulary of words.
