So you'd trust a justice system you see ass corrupt to imprison a man but not to exonerate him? That's just being biased.

And in 'Murice blacks are responsible for more than 50% of all crimes committed while being only 10% of the population. Also white upper-class males are more likely to be able to afford top notch legal counsel so it's obvious they'd get convicted less.

I'm not an American. so why didn't Zimmerman just let Treyvon just beat the shit out of him and go to the police afterwards? Would he have lived through the beating? A man can die just as easily to a bad hit to the head as a bullet. Same with the wife, what if she killed him mid beating then?

So someone can run up to you and bash your head into the sidewalk and if you can't overpower them physically you should just have your head bashed in? Zimmerman defended himself from what seemed to be a life threatening situation.

And obviously we do need them to protect ourselves seeing as one was used to protect someone in this situation. You can keep your nanny state if you want, don't bring that shit over here.

But keep your brand of "freedom", we'll have a (albeit it slightly less impoverished, but impoverished none the less) greater liberty over here.

Self defence is kind of a thing. You can't expect people to just roll over and take it when faced with violent behaviour. Here's a scenario, Man beats his wife constantly, she snaps and kills him in his sleep. Is the murdering of her husband justified?
#325 - captainreposty (08/06/2013) [-]
She killed him... Why didn't she: a.) leave him. b.) Go to her family/friend's house that night after he beat her. c.) tell the police.

All of those are better than killing someone.
I can't believe how many 'Muricans instantly jump to that "solution".

Well he did kill a teenager, but the teenager was also beating the shit out of him. He does deserve some jail time but all the hate he gets is completely unnecessary.
#327 - captainreposty (08/06/2013) [-]
I'm not bothered about ethnicity.
Anyone who owns a gun and then kills an unarmed person deserves to go to jail ether way, even if it was in "self-defence". He took a life because he was getting beat on.
Over here in Freedom Land U.K. we don't tolerate gun crimes, like at all. I've never come across someone who owns a gun, nor have I ever read about a story involving a teenager being gunned down because he beat up some fat prick.

I've been beat down a couple of times, but you get over it; you don't reach for a fucking gun.
#312 - anonymous (08/06/2013) [-]
I'd say it has been served, all the evidence in the trial was ambiguous, there was no concrete evidence of wrongdoing on Zimmerman's part. Unless you're suggesting we start throwing people in prison based on hypothetical situations.
#324 - captainreposty (08/06/2013) [-]
Is a kid, at the end of the day, dead?

Yes.

Did the Zim-Zamy put the bullet in his head?

Yes.

How the fuck is that ambiguous? This is why America needs to outlaw guns, but you guys clearly believe you need them to protect yourself (which is clearly lunacy).
#329 - anonymous (08/06/2013) [-]

It should be forgotten, he was proven not guilty in a court of law, everyone was saying he practically lynched Treyvon now they're actually wanting to lynch Zimmerman and everyone related to him.
#332 - captainreposty (08/06/2013) [-]
So you believe that everything the U.S. Justice System says is legitimate?
Then you have some real issues you fucking anon-fag.

In 'Murica (and this is from my dissertation research), if you are black/ working-class, you have a 60% more chance of going to prison for the same offence that an upper-class white man does.

But hey, that's done in a "court of law". I despise mindless drones like yourself.

well for one thing, Ayaan doesn't call herself a feminist and would be angry at the assertion, she advocates for women's rights not for female superiority. Rebecca Watson self identifies as a feminist, believes feminist theory, but would not call herself a women's rights activist because she doesn't want equality, she wants superior treatment by society and the law.

Sorry about the delay in commenting, I've been moving all weekend
User avatar #75 - thefunnyside (08/05/2013) [-]
Feminists are women who believe in equal rights. Rebecca is a bitch who calls herself a feminist, even though she is not. Just because I say I'm a kangaroo, doesn't mean I am one
#76 - teranin (08/05/2013) [-]
Feminists believe in superior privilege for themselves without equivalent responsibility, regardless of the dictionary. Perhaps if in any of their lobbying, legislative, or societal manipulation enterprises they actually acted as you suggest, I might believe what you say is true, but just look at VAWA, the tender years doctrine, the fact that men cannot be raped in the united states (when women force men to penetrate without consent, it is labeled sexual assault. This is legislation that was pushed through by feminist lobby groups.) I'm sorry but their actions contest your definition. If they truly believe in equal rights, where are the feminists that actually try to get things done in that regard, and if there are more feminists like that than feminists who are as I say, why are they not being more effective than the smaller numbered and worse funded feminist groups that are being so successful?

I love how you think you're above and morally superior to what seems to be most of the world when any really moral person would find you and your views disgusting.

You could have signed in.
But I bet you're as spineless as the next Jew. Yes I am indeed morally superior to all those who negate responsibility to a "higher being", and I've never lent anyone money and then asked them for "interest", because that is simply the dirtiest way of making money.
I don't know who you are, nor do I care who you are. All I know is, that 4 Jewish families control the Federal Reserve, and all American taxes go not to the American government, but to the privately owned Federal Reserve (something unconstitutional).
