| I had the same thought. That's part of the reason for the post. If the majority of people like it though, then fuck those antifun people with their upside-down party hats and deflated balloons yeahbut let's not underestimate their ability to competently shit on it These people do hold one similarity to the TriggerTroops: They are fuckmothering persistent Well i mean if most of everyone who wstches it enjoys it, and the only people bitchin about it are the small group of people then what's the problem? Let em complain. It's what you have to deal with. I guess the only thing to do is just let trolls be. I'd just be repeating myself But yeah I'm all for it, fears notwithstanding | ||

| all these great celebrities dying reminds me when I would watch an old movie with my mom and ask her what happened to the actors. She'd always say 'a couple of them are still alive'. I have realized that my kids are going to ask me the same and I will answer it the same. Death is so saddening. Cmon we have to We can't let this shit smack us in the jaw like nimoy and williams idk if I can take that Just imagine..if we live to be old all of our heroes will just be distant memories, preserved only through the works they left behind. We will have seen them die one by one. What's more is that their heroes before them were distant memories by the time they were old. Every older person we know went through this, but on the whole I haven't noticed it at all. Perhaps it has a way of sinking in your mind, eventually to be buried by the toils of life, forgotten. my hero never made it to 30, and I turned 26 on Monday chew on that. would you trade your life with his if he died? like, if he died would you kill yourself if it meant his resurrection? take a moment to think this out. #89 -
Lookinatstuff (04/09/2015) [-] My first thought was, damn that would be a good thing - for people to be able to chose giving the rest of their days to a person they want to live longer. But then I realized Justin Beiber would live forever. So, forget it. A moment? Absofuckinlutely My life's not worth a minute of drunk pissing compared to what he does for people The sooner we come to terms, the less the reality will hurt Spread the pain out now and save a heart-stopping stab when it really happens

tarabostes (04/09/2015) [-] never remember having any, but what's the deal with these anyway? Not sure what you mean if you mean what's the deal with tonic in gin, that was for the old empirical soldiers occupying india and africa, and it was basically just to mask the bitterness of gin which is dumb af because they were in countries that could produce fruitjuice and tonic water isn't exactly pleasant useful drink though kept the soldiers healthier than if they drank the putrid water of those places ...which still don't have clean water supplies even today If you mean what's the deal with that gif then idk it's familyguy so it's not obligated to be funny All alcohols have served that same purpose prettymuch Beer did the same thing for settlers of America assuming vodka/potatoskin moonshine did the same thing for russians and serbs etc Whiskey did that for down south, especially settlers to louisiana rum for the carribbean sailors wine for the european gauls and the roman empire and even the middle east, where they supposedly discovered ditillation and spirits of drinks (hence the name spirits) boozahol has been the saviour of lives for travelling people for fuckin millennia

Hit the reply limit.
If your boss made you get a sick note anyway after the company stopped requiring it and they were billed, then that would be on his neck not yours. But I'm not interested in individual situations, I'm interested in the whole. Say there are a few hundred people working for the company in question. Prior to the company dropping the sick not policy, 100% of them would go to the doctor to get a note when they stay home from work - a requirement. But if it were no longer required, while some or even many of them still would go to the doctor, it's highly unlikely that all of them would keep going. It's common knowledge that there is no cure for the common cold, and many people don't go to the doctor for it for that reason. Is it possible that each and every employee would be in some weird personal position where they still decide to go to the doctor's office once it isn't required? Sure, in all the many universes there are some where that happens. But is it likely? Hell the **** no.
And yes, it is wasted time if they just have a cold, because there is literally nothing the doctor can do for them. It's the doctor's job to treat them but that doesn't mean jack when there isn't a treatment. In this case the doctor loses time, the patient gains nothing, and other patients are potentially exposed to a virus.

Diagnoses isnt a treatment
yet it's crucially important to make for a treatment
how do you get a diagnoses
with an examination
examinations are a doctor doing their job, not wasting time

Anyone can diagnose a common cold. Have you ever had blood drawn to test for rhinovirus? No, because the symptoms are obvious, known to everyone, and by the time the test was over it would be gone.

So would the doctor unless you're missing something really obvious. If you go to the doctor with cold symptoms, they will send you home and tell you to come back if it gets worse or new symptoms appear. As long as you aren't retarded enough to miss something obvious like a rash or black phlegm, you have the same exact ability to diagnose or misdiagnose a cold as a doctor.
better chance of him knowing than me

Not by much. A doctor can't magically differentiate one set of cold-like symptoms from another, and if you're a human living on the planet earth, you probably have close to as much experience with colds as them. But feel free to go in and demand a blood test next time you have the sniffles, no skin off my back. All I'm saying is that plenty of people won't do that if they aren't required to, and likely for the greater good.
They might do
Certainly got a better shot at it than I do

How spicy are a pair of 15 yearolds liable to get, really
I mean it was on school grounds so that was kind of tense
But the dude didn't even come to school after we got caught
I'm thinking he told his folks and got immediately shuffled away witness protection style

Actually
I've spent a good deal of money in warframe, more than enough to supercede a retail price
I bought the ultimate godpack in smite, which is effectively buying the game instead of playing the free grind route
and I got tf2 from the orange box
So no, not really
I have a slight distrust for free to plays actually
They tend to screw you over in subtle ways

I tell ymself I'm the same
but ultimately, if I'm willing to buy a game, I'm willing to pay into a free game to bypass atleast some of the skinnerbox grinding
The basic equation is that I'm willing to throw money out and take entertainment back in, and I have to actually admit it to myself
