I mean if you look at it in terms of a normal 20 page per chapter or so manga it would be around chapter 30, that in mind its actually made a decent amount of progress compared to a lot of manga, but i would agree that it seems like a lot longer than that just due to the fact that it releases a page almost every day
Yes, but you're looking at it in a scale of a book, while a comic is not a book. While the medium is similar, they vary greatly within how they tell stories, which is why all comics, even some of the best, always tend to be rather short.
30 chapters for SLIGHT relationship development is absolutely abysmal as far as character development and plot-line goes.
Even Zero No Tsukaima, which is essentially the bench-mark of the Tsundere and harem anime (Which I recommend because despite that, it's actually quite good) had more development and genuine interaction and romance within the first 12 chapters.
And even here, you can barely say there's any development at all. ALL we've seen is the two folks get upset when one of them receives romantic interactions, yet nothing comes from it. Ever.
Proper development of characters in comics should otherwise take anywhere from 2-6 chapters, that is to say, noticeable development of themselves and their interactions with their environment, which is also why most multi-comic storylines are around 4 separate comics. Either telling an origin story, the fight with the big baddie, some great plot development, some great resolution, etc.
This is 30 chapters of the exact. same. shit. It's absolutely mind-numbing and quickly goes from cute and quirky to frustrating and asinine, like getting frustrated at someone who can never find a boyfriend, constantly complaining about it, and never making a single move. How anyone can genuinely be invested in this comic, or enjoy it beyond a passing overview, is beyond me.
