You're making it sound like it's easy to remove a clamp from a wheel. Those things are designed to be impossible to remove without destroying the wheel.

Probably wouldn't take too long with a pneumatic cutoff tool. Really wouldn't take long with a cutting torch but you'd most likely wreck the tire that way.

As I said, it's deigned to be really difficult to remove. Engineers probably worked for months on the design. Then it was probably tested with every tool ppl can have.

Still, when it comes down to it, ain't nothing but steel. Here's a closeup. Three cuts and you're done. You may burn through three cutting wheels doing it, because that's pretty thick steel, but I've never met any steel that can't be cut.

I'm sure it's some type of hardened steel. You may have a tool that can cut it, but I dont. I dont think most ppl do.
