It's really random... I tried Win10 on several PC's, all of them had a bunch of their own unique issues as well as a few common ones.

But in the end I've never had any issues with Win7, and always went back to it eventually. It's just way more stable and reliable, and honestly who the hell needs a few new gimmicky features?

I've had no problems with GTA V on Win 10, unless they're really subtle / meaningless ones that you'd need to explain.

I had Win10 on my main desktop for a little over a month. Even then I still couldn't run it for more than 10-20 minutes without crashing, or the FPS suddenly locking to 10 (how ironic). On top of that, SLI scaling was awful.

I've been running Win7 again ever since and it's much better.

Still got Win10 on my laptop (which is where I initially tried the game on release, under Win7), even with the single GPU it's not scaling nearly aswell as it did in Win7. FPS often drops below 50 on normal/high settings at 1080p, where I'd play at 1440p high with the same FPS. Not to mention it was a lot more consistent.

tl;dr: Lots of crashes and worse performance

And yes, I always made sure to have the latest drivers, updates, verified game files, etc.

My shitty laptop with shitty ass GT 540M with windows 10 (not even clean install) can run GTA 5 without crashing. I'll be honest the FPS even won't go higher than 45 fps on med-low but at least it never crashed.

Also, "build" is a very bad choice of words. That is implying either weak hardware or some kind of defect, which is absolutely not the case.

Right now as it is in Win7 running at 1440p, my FPS almost never strays outside of the 100-144 range (144 being my refreh rate cap). I can even run it at 4K and still get a solid 80-120 FPS.

Basically what you guys are doing is saying there's something wrong with a taxi (the actual vehicle) after it's got a new driver that doesn't know his way around the city as well as the old driver did.

-Before Win10 came out, I was using Win7. I could play GTA 5 just fine at 1440p very high settings and average ~110 FPS.

-When 10 came out, I upgraded to it with a clean install, did clean installs of drivers, programs, and all my games. GTA 5 crashed more than half of the times I tried launching it, it crashed ingame too. And when it did run, performance was wonky as shit and my FPS was all over the place. Sometimes it even locked itself to 10 FPS out of the blue.

-So then I reinstalled Win7, and what do you know? All my games run fine again.

So what logic went into your conclusion that my PC is shit? And if you'd really want to know my specs:

i7-5820K @ 4.2Ghz
2x GTX 980 SLI @ 1500mhz
16GB DDR4 2400mhz
500GB 840 EVO SSD (game installed here)

-Yes, I tried with SLI disabled. Didn't help.

I did use the "Windows 10 ready" GPU drivers, but it could be that too.

The GPU Tweak program for my 970 updated itself when 10 came out, and made my second monitor stop working. Reverting it back to the previous version fixed everything, no problems since
