The people from Jamestown? They were basically a giant cult and their leader got them to all kill themselves by drinking poison.

What I really wonder is what happened to the cult leader guy, I heard his death circumstances (he died with everyone else there) were odd in a documentary.

Do you remember the name of the documentary?

I couldn't tell you, but I've seen it twice on TV in years past. Apparently the cult-leader-guy-who's-first-name-might-be-James had a revolver on him and there was some unsaid reason why the exact cause of death wasn't known. This was followed by slight speculation that he might have been shot or killed by the crowd or if he even drank the poison himself.

Because of the heavy brow and wide nose. And the use of bone as opposed to stone indicates that this is a pre-paleolithic people, long before the upper paleolithic.

Furthermore, the study you cited is based on modern populations in tropical regions. They do not deal with the harsh winters or megafauna that the people depicted here did. They are not comparable at all.
