Well, honestly I once read a bunch on radar engineering (thanks TPB!) and spoke like I knew what I was talking about. If I didn't know the answer, I would just say, "It's one of those things that's easier to see work than to explain" and since you can't see radar waves (easily) people generally believed me. No degree and talking like an engineer got me recognition and that gets you promotions and respect.

MFW they wanted to send me to engineering school for free.

oh a ship is a term for relationship. so shippers are people who pair fantasy relationships in avatar and shipping is the verb. "who do you ship?" "I ship katara and aang, also known as kataang" really kinda silly stuff :P
