I personally hope this story is not true, but, this being the internet, I have my reservations (given only the current lack of sufficient proof) - it may have been more prudent to wait for better information to become available.

If you knew about the bullying prior to the mother's status update, then you knew Human Derpy on some level, whether online or irl. It seems rather unlikely that you would definitely know who the bully was if you only knew HDerpy via only the internet, so I presume that I knew her irl. If so, I am very sorry that you have lost a friend.

There is also the fact that the suicide evidently happened on 3/4/12 (see earliest suicide post). If this is the case, then I am surprised that her death has not been reported (relative to a suicide from my old high school). If it has been, then it was not in the Matanzas area - which would mean that the accused was not the actual bully.

I'm just laying out my thought process. I'm not looking to harass you or call you a liar and I am sorry if I am only complicating things for you. It is simply the case that, with what I've been told, the story doesn't make any sense.

Care to relay the entire message? Did she only spread the word of her daughters death? How was the accused bully determined?

It seems very unlikely that the mother would pinpoint someone of being a bully in such a message; so there much then be some other means of you determining who the bully was (unless the mother DID name the accused).

sorry about all the questions, I don't condone the use of bullying of any kind.
I doubt it was the right thing for her to do, although given how little I know about her situation.
