- Piss off, corpse lover.
At least I can still piss, you walking sandcastle of fail!
- As someone who plays regularly, I was unaware this was a thing.
Cool d&d idea
I'm not sure how. I play with loads of people, and we do this shit all the time when we're bored.
Blind characters like this are a variation.
So are characers where the DM creates a hard theme for the game, and you have to create your character based around those rules (i.e. a Gestalt campagin where one of the two classes everyone picks must be X, i.e. rogue, sorcerer, paladin, ect, creating a game where everyone is a rogue plus something else, or a paladin plus something else).
We've also done games where the players don't get sheets. The DM holds all the paperwork, and it's the job of the players to remember and track things on their own. If they forget they have something or can do something, then that's part of the game. Bonus points if the DM also handles leveling the characters up, and the players have to explain to him what it is they do to train and how they direct their studies, with the DM deciding what skills and stats to level and what feats they earn for their efforts.
Maybe if you just follow the rules and play the game like the materials tell you to, you'd never do things like this, but the six or so groups of friends that I cycle through games with do and talk about doing this sort of thing often.
It's a tabletop game, not vidya. You can make up your own rules and play how you like. You're missing out on quite a bit if you just run things by the book.

Game on Brother from another Chapter
Your path is true, i feel no need to betray such trust, if anything, the Imperium and Chaos betrayed the Alpha Legion, killing one it's Primarchs, i like neither, while understand the humanity in our action there is common ground for greatness !
If only they made a book about the Alpha Legion and Ahriman teaming up to help each other out like we spoke about would be so sick, both of them fighting for their own cause shying away from the Imperium and Chaos alike

He's pretty powerful when used right. 260 points (himself + the Disc Of Tzeentch, which you should always take to get +1 toughness and additional mobility) is a big points investment, but let's make some calculations.
60 - sorcerer
+ 50 for ML3 sorc
+15 Mark Of Tzeentch
+15 Aura Of Dark Glory
+30 Disc Of Tzeentch
That's 170 points for generic sorcerer, trying to be Ahriman. But is he similar though? That's 90 points difference. But let's take a closer look.
Ahriman is ML4 sorcerer, so that's another 25 points. 65 left.
Ahriman has Fearless, which is not available to normal sorcs.
Ahriman has a staff that allows him to cast up to 3 same powers.
Ahriman has a statline of a Chaos lord, additional wound is especially important.
Ahriman has an in-built warlord trait for infiltration, which is very useful to Chaos Space Marines, as they do not have drop pods.
Ahriman has a bolt pistol with AP3 shells (a minor thing, but still).
The only thing Sorcerers have to compensate is the ability to take the Spell Familiar, allowing them to re-roll failed psychic tests.
I think all of the above justifies a hefty price tag.
As for psychic powers to roll on Ahriman, I think that rolling on Biomancy is the safest bet: you have 3 rolls, the only useless power there for him is Haemorrage. The rest is either a buff for him and/or his squad, or a powerful shooting ability that Ahriman can use to it's full extent due to his artifact.
You can take a look at other schools for powers, but remember that rolling for powers is a gambit.
On top of that, Ahriman has a really awesome miniature. The one attached and the one on the comment at the top is mine

Russ did find out the orders were wrong not long after clusterfucking Prospero, he even regretted it.
Sadly it was too late and now who knows how Russ would react to meeting Magnus again.
I wholeheartedly reccomend finding the fanfic of the thousand sons on 1d4chan. Its pretty fucking good.
