I have 2 female friends in Brazil and they are both scared to go out alone (20y/o give or take). They don't even live in the same city and don't know eachother, but they both tell me the same thing: Don't go to Brazil.
One of them once had to hide in a mall and ask guards to call the police because she was being followed for a while by some creeper.
Probably the same for Mexico. These are actions they have to take regardless of equality.

That's nice and all but there are still a few issues. One issue is that psychologists don't understand statistics very well and will make big sweeping claims without proper evidence, for instance if you survey 40 million people in one state, even though it's over 10% of the U.S. population you absolutely can not make claims about the U.S. population as a whole because people in different states behave differently. Psychologists don't seem to understand this, or care, so safe to say they're not trustworthy with statistical data anymore.

Also the government website does a terrible job and i mean a terrible job of explaining how it got its test results. Random drug tests at a school are supposed to be able to acquire data for an accurate % of the total population? What population are they even using? Strictly those who were tested? The only people at my school who were ever subject to drug tests are athletes they have a different rate of using certain drugs than the average population. If they can't get enough data to account for 10% of the population and can't directly ask that 10% and have to resort to inaccurate tests then how am I supposed to interpret the data in regards to the actual population?
