not just the oil i meant, but the large amounts in weapon production and the defense stocks, how many of them wars can you say was important for america? how many lives have gone lost because america want money and get other countries to believe they are powerful?

Very true. America is a war machine; their economy rises and falls on whether or not they are at war. At present, almost 40% of American citizens make money (in some way or another) in connection to the military. This isn't a criticism, it is solely a fact.

Coming from Canada, I'm happy that Prime Minister Diefenbaker (1957-1963) decided to make Canada's economy resource and trade based in contrast to President Eisenhower's (1957-1961) movement to make America more militarily centred. Over the years, the US economy has seen higher heights because of this decision, but also much lower lows; whilst the Canadian economy has sat on a steady uphill rise for over a half century.
