I have yet to hear of anyone who seriously disliked katawa shoujo. I loved it myself, and I found that I became extremely attached to all the characters in the game. It has a lot of internal monologue which could possibly be annoying, but the character development is fantastic as well as each individual story. I would recommend trying it!
