Everything bad stated about Zimmerman is actually relevant.

He was a violent guy, who chased a kid, who then defended himself.

This is exactly why there's a race issue here. If the criminal was black, there would not be a single soul out there stupid enough to pretend the killing was legitimate.

And if the victim was white there wouldn't be a single soul out there who gives a fuck. The race card can be played either way my friend.

The reason this is such a big deal, as opposed to a regular crime, is for two main reasons.

1- THE MURDERER WAS NOT FUCKING TRIED.

This might be surprising to you, but this is a pretty big deal. In all of the examples people keep posting, the black criminals where arrested immediately. Nobody was stupid enough to pretend that it was self-defense, and in this case, the police wouldn't have even investigated if there wasn't so much outrage.

2- This is (relatively) minor, but there was some pretty good reason to suspect racial motivation (as opposed to criminal motivation, like wanting to steal his wallet). The guy had an obsession with calling the police whenever he saw black people, and the only real reason he had for being "suspicious" was because he saw a black kid. He also had something about wearing a hood, but it was raining so that's a pretty flimsy excuse.

If he had just been arrested and treated like a regular criminal, it wouldn't be that big a deal.

Find me a story where a black man chases down a white kid, kills him, and gets off scot-free by policemen who barely even investigate, then we'll talk.

1) There is no murderer in this case. Only a person defending himself.

2) Zimmerman tutors black children in his free time. Not too racist now is he?

3) This case is still being investigated on the State and Federal level. He hasn't been tried because there is no evidence to try him with.

Well, what about those two white British tourists who were Executed on their knees literally with their pants down by a black man? That barely got any media attention at all. It's probably because the crime wasn't violent and random enough, not because of racial reasons at all.

Like I said, that part was relatively minor.

Unlike this case, nobody was stupid enough to pretend they did it in self-defense.

If someone claimed it was self-defense, and they all went free, then yeah, I'd be pretty outraged about that too.

I'm done arguing with you. It's like trying to reason with a fucking 2 year-old.

Let me put it this way so you can understand.

1- All killings are bad.

2- Race based killing is particularly bad, because the only motive is prejudice as opposed to wanting to gain something.

3- The reason this one is so outrageous, is because the lyncher had the audacity to claim victim-hood, and is was let free by the police. If he had been arrested, he would just be another murderer. It would still be bad, but justice would have been served. This one is outrageous because the police did nothing.
