I know this, im talking about 40+ mins of sanding to try and get it to look good and even with that it looks like shit. You need to then use finer grain and then polish it. Its hours and hours of work and even at its best you cant use the top par of the lid for something like a cool lid.
If you score it first then just use hot and cold water then you can actually re-seal the bottle with pressure so it holds water thats how smooth the cut is.

a fun fact that a lot of resturants fry them twice, once to get the process started, stop it midway, store it untill an order comes and then fry them to completion.

Lol no. Most restaurants don't do that. Most cooks are told not to do that actually. It dries them out and makes them taste bad. I worked in the food industry for almost 3 years. People do that because they are bad at their jobs and can't keep up with orders coming in so they start cooking a whole lot of fries and and just keep the extra until another order comes in and then puts them back into the frier so they are warm when being served.
And we did it all the fucking time.
