idk man, the it seems like there's some deep lore behind this picture... I mean, look at the masks the guards and the lady is wearing. This isn't just some medieval type of hentai, this has got to be the basis for something bigger. I mean, seriously, is there anyone with as specific a fetish as "naked woman getting strangled while masked aristocrats and guards, along with peasantry watches on"? It's pretty hot, i'll give it that, but still. I'm pretty damn certain that this is part of a series, where the masks and the oddly constructed gallows plays a big role in the story of said series.

It's both. If you just change your diet you may lose weight but if you don't build muscle mass you don't burn the extra calories you get once you stop the diet.

Now if you change your whole life style regarding the food you eat and working out that's the way to go. I started going to the gym without changing my diet. Lost practically nothing. Once I started a low carb approach I went from 300lbs to 220lbs in 4 1/2 months. I'm almost 6"4' so that's a good weight.

And also I gained a lot of muscle mass which means that as soon as I started eating "normal" again I didn't gain any weight.

Another thing about going to the gym on a regular basis is that if for some reason you have to take a break from working out for let's say 3 months, once you start working out again you get to your old level way faster than without the regular work out.

I actually feel like by continuing after vegeta sacrificed himself, they were almost making a subtle comparison to when goku did the same thing but with cell, almost as if to say "hey, vegeta's pretty bad, but even bad guys can make good decisions on par with the greatest of heroes."

Personally I think the show should have ended with the Cell Saga. The theme of DBZ was "there's always someone stronger". Roshi was the strongest until Goku surpassed him, same for Popo, Kami, King Kai and Freeza. Finally at the end of Cell, Goku himself is surpassed by his son.

Honestly the original ending was similar to what you described. Goku was supposed to die (probably) on namek and the show was going to end there.

Yes but dbz is written by akira toriyama who writes on child like level. DB was objectively a horrible written show.

That's a very interesting point. I have heard many different similar opinions and rumors. That is some people saying how the show would have been better if it had ended in another way and some others even saying that it was actually supposed to end at different times but was forced to continue due to its popularity.
I've heard that it was supposed to end at the Frieza saga. Goku achieves the legendary Super Saiyan form and defeats an enemy not even Vegeta, who was considered really strong, could beat, someone supposed to be the strongest in the universe, which would mean there was no point in the show going on since Goku was that now.
Then you have those saying that it was supposed to end at the Cell Saga which actually makes a lot more sense. Goku has used up his revivals and Gohan ascends to a level higher than a Super Saiyan, which at the time did not have the name ssj2, and saves the world from the greatest threat it had seen. It implies that even though Goku is gone, the world will be safe under the protection of Gohan who was now stronger, and had been built as a character that possessed extraordinary powers ever since he was captured by Raditz and smacked his shit.
Then you have the thing you just explained. And finally you have GT which aside from the ending were generally sucky.

Dragon Ball was fucking great, it knew what it was, it explored a great world with great characters and the sense of scale was much more clear. The supporting cast had a point in existing since they could fight and not just stand by being useless, and overall the story was great. The Z series made a complete shift of scope and character and went for something completely different. Throughout its duration there were some great story elements but there were also a lot of bad ones like the ones you mentioned.
To sum it up, the series' greatest problem was the lack of focus. It didn't know where it was going and when it was going to end. A lot of elements were added retroactively and Goku was given too much spotlight, essentially making everybody else useless as only him could defeat the baddies, and that only with his spirit bomb. it's kind of annoying when every enemy, after all the build up and fights and everything, is killed off with a spirit bomb.
All in all it's still an enjoyable series though.
