It was a shitty process switching from Win XP to Win 7, but it wasn't too bad considering the similarities. But the transition period where I was still learning some of the functions of Win 7 made the OS feel all kinds of wonky. And usually running something as admin will make it work, I think that's what a friend of mine did when he played Daggerfall on his computer.

I'm wanting Windows XP again so I can play Legoland and Lego Racers. Want to see how they have held up since I last played them. And it really was a good OS (Using .gifs as a wallpaper was one of my favorite things to do).

I have it on my laptop that has a shot hard rive, and I would use it over windows 7 because it seemed to work better all around. The only time I used 7 was to play morrowind and battle front 2. I think the only Lego game I have ever played was some Kinda chess game. I think it has quite a few RPGs that can only be played on xp. For some reason I couldn't get daggerfall to play on 7, but I could with xp no problem.
I'm also very retarded when it comes to computers, so I wouldn't be surprised if my experiences with 7 were user related.

I'm not pissed or anything, it's understandable for her to not want me to do it. But I don't pirate a lot, and she has never gotten a warning. She just doesn't like it as a moral choice. Some are opposed to pirating because they think it's wrong and keeps developers from getting money, and some people just want free stuff. I don't think there is ever an excuse for pirating except for "I wanted this thing but I didn't want to spend money on it".
User avatar #835117 - bobbybeats (02/14/2014) [-]
I'm not trying to shame you for pirating, more like trying to get you to put in a good word for me to your mother.
Honestly, I would pirate windows 7 myself if I needed to because my disc is all scratched from my cd drive.
On that note, do they still sell windows Xp do I have to pirate it?

You can't forget who the fuck are jon snow's parents
User avatar #695 - bobbybeats (02/14/2014) [-]
One of my friends tried telling me his father isn't Ned, but instead rhaegar and hat his mother was lyanna. At first I was like okay, I don't have a problem with your delusions.
Then I re read the series befor adwd came out for a refresher and I was suprised on how plausible it could be.
The one thing that really sticks out to me is after eddies beheading is brans dream where he was talking to his father(probably bloodraven) in the crypts, bran said he sounded sad and it had something to do with jon. Lyanna has a tomb down there and it kinda makes sense.
Another one that made me belief was Ned's fever dream and he thought about the things he should've told jon and he gives us a flashback to the tower of joy, which is where he found his sister bleeding on a bed telling her to promise him something.
At first I thought the kings guard killed her, but after some selmy conversation, he claimed rhaegar loved his lady lyanna.
It's not my favorite theory, but it makes a lot of sense.

I've only read these 3, and him being a Targaryan would make him the 3rd Dragon.
The dragon needs 3 heads.
User avatar #701 - bobbybeats (02/14/2014) [-]
Nah dude, tormunds member is the three headed dragon.
I think read something a long time ago where grrm said a head of the dragon doesn't need to be a targ. There's only one for sure that's birth can't be questioned and that's dany.
Aegon is a bit of a toss up. He could be a targ but I like the idea that he's a blackfyre which doesn't make him a true targ but he's got targ blood nonetheless.
I'm quite comfortable with the idea than jon won't be resurrected, but rather that bran will be a head. He's apprenticing under a targ bastard and there seems to be some wierd ass blood magic going on in bloodraven's lair.
#702 - megavoir (02/14/2014) [-]
Maaaan, no one ever said Jon was dead.
User avatar #703 - bobbybeats (02/14/2014) [-]
Sorry if I spoiled it, but if it makes you feel better there's plenty of evidence that he will be resurrected.
Remember drogo's death? It's quite possible that the maegi made the horse skin change into drogo.
and since he's a warg, his soul went to ghost and we have an accomplished fire priestess at the wall who isn't shy in the ways of blood magic.
Melisandre looked into her flames "he was man, than wolf' than man again."
And if he's a targ, then his dreams can be prophetic and there's one that mentions him holding a sword on top of the wall and fighting enemies on both sides, and Ramsey is kind of pissed off at everyone's favorite bastard at the wall. I haven't read adwd in a while so I might be leaving out some details.
#705 - megavoir (02/14/2014) [-]
You didn't spoil it, it's just getting stabbed a lot doesn't completely mean someone's dead.
User avatar #706 - bobbybeats (02/14/2014) [-]
I'm assuming he is because he felt the cold and said ghost.
I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't.
Actually, it kind of makes more sense that he's still alive. The three eyed crow can do to him what he did to bran, telling him to open his third eye and whatever he wants.
I didn't really give it to much thought on my last read, because I was really invested in what is going on in winterfell and Stannis. I might have to read all the wall based chapters tonight just to get a refresher on what's going on.
Something about corpses in the ice cells and how the food is preserved by the cold of the wall makes what you said ring true to me, but like I said I'm gonna read the wall based chapters tonight to see what the hell is going on.

Dragoons kinda suck all around stat wise except for magic and defense, so they make good meatshields and battlemages.
I've played ffv so much that I just cheat in the bard, dragoon and dancer for luck based, stat raising shit ripping.
Enjoy lunar legend, it's a bit cheesy but the characters are charming and bosses are fun.
