Can you read the sticky on my profile? It's a new project I'm working on. It supposed to be like a weird style DnD with video gamey/anime elements.

Well, I recently found myself being absolutely obessed with the Soulsborne series. And I graduate after this semester so i'm kinda on my way to becoming an adult.

I'm not about that DnD stuff. Closest I get to that is Dark Souls. I'm a nerd, but not that kind of nerd. Now if we were talking science fiction space battles and philosophical questions to the universe, I would so be in my element. As it stands, I don't know the first thing about DnD, how it works, or what to expect from it. I couldn't offer criticism if I tried.

I read most of the first comment, and it just seemed like a lot of lore and character creation. I scrolled down and say races, classes, areas, ect. Again, this isn't my forte.

Well, as you read more, it kinda goes into game of the game mechanics. Let's just say there's A LOT of HP draining.

This would be like me telling you that the fundamental Newtonian laws of gravity break down when used to calculate the gravitational force beyond the event horizon of a black hole. You can tell me "Yeah, Reiflin dragons hit for 20 HP, but when you have the Amulet of Zyenfar, the damage is reduced by 25%" That's just a number to me, I have no concept over what this means in an RPG or DnD tabletop game.

Okay, I'll give you an example of how one of the weapons works. Okay, let's say your character has the greataxe, Abandon, and you're at full HP. roughly 200. Let's say you want to use your HP to increase your Attack and Vigor (*this is to keep your character from dying but ya know, stats like this are kinda poo). So you use 20 hit points. That's 10% bonus to Attack and Vigor.
Or let's say you use the item that gives you half your health on top of your max HP, so using it, you'd get about 300 HP, and the amount of damage you take is healed back and your HP is back down to 200.
I'm trying to explain the best I can but it's a little weird I know.

I have zero concept over any of this. "Hey, in this game I'm playing, you can buy a fire upgrade for 200 burburs, or the mist upgrade for 120 burburs. Like, why would you ever go for the fire when the mist is both cheaper, and better at killing Rognerks?" I have no context for any of this, whether any risk outweighs any reward, or if the stats you're giving are balanced or negligible. I don't know what you want from me here, I know nothing about this genre or what goes into it.

Well, numbers are the language of the RPG, as well at the story and player decisions. The stats are not all balanced the same for each class, so each class technically has a best in slot or a stronger performance with different stats than another class would with those same stats. Would an explanation of the story(s) and player decisions in the stories make more sense? Because it is kinda the core of the game...

There's not much I can say on this topic. I've been in this position before, and can sometimes find myself slipping back into it. I can't really pinpoint what it was that brought me out of that depressing slump, but if I were to try and guess, I would say it was a combination of my friends, and my lack of ***** . having a great group of friends to hang out with most nights really helped more than you'd think. They inadvertently helped me slow down on my drinking, to the point where I only drink at parties or on special nights. Can't play if I'm **** faced. The other thing, the lack of ***** , helps me in my day to day life. It's so easy to talk to people when you don't give a **** . What's the worst that will happen? They don't like me? I already don't give a blueberry **** about what people think about me. So talking to people is super easy. It's helped me make a lot of friends throughout college so far. Need to make a speech in front of the class? Not giving a **** helps you stay loose, talk normally, not crack under pressure. It's always important to care about things like your future, and to care about other people, but when you learn how to let go of the smaller things, it's a real weight off your shoulders.
Again, I can't really pinpoint the one thing that got me out of that "no emotions" slump. It's more of a collection of people and events. Hey, YOU are part of the reason I was able to drag myself back up. Don't forget that you helped me, too. I can't really give you an answer. You just have to force yourself out of it. You can't outlast it, and you can't out grow it. You have to force yourself past it.

One thing we tell alcoholics when they're trying to quit is "Fake it 'till you make it". That basically means that in order to quit, you first need to convince yourself that you already have. You will never quit drinking if you always think you're an alcoholic. You need to believe that you're past it before you are actually past it. The same applies here. You can't break out of a depression if you think you're still depressed, even in your happy moments. You have to get better, by believing that you're getting better. If you act a certain way long enough, you start to be that way. If you try and be happy long enough, you become happy. Again, myself as an example, I used to be **** **** scared of people. Talk in front of a classroom? I couldn't even talk to a single person. So I started to force myself to talk to people anyway. I pretended I wasn't afraid of people anymore. Even today, when talking to an audience, I can still feel myself pretending, but I'm so used to it now that it feels natural. I couldn't go back to my shy self if I wanted. You'll be the same. Like I said, it's something you have to force your way through, there's no real definitive answer. It all comes down to how willing you are.

I can't really help with anything about the flu. I don't know much about that. However, if you want to extend your paper without repeating yourself in it, I found the best way to do that is to over analyze things here and there. Instead of saying something like "The Black Plague was spread by rats" you can expand the **** out if it with something like "Rats were also susceptible to the Black Plague, and so they became carriers of the deadly disease. The infected rats became a key part in spreading the plague across all of Europe." If you need to go into even more detail, go for it. Once the paper is done, go back and re-read it, and look for places where you can expand on a subject.

So after having played this game for a while, i've concluded that every planet has two maps that look exactly the same. It is the biggest microtransaction farmfest of a game I have seen since Vindictus, and the story is so far in the background that I sometimes forget the game has a story at all.

But if I aim while I jump, I got into a dive. Diving head first into enimies with a shotgun in one hand and my dick in the other is the most fun thing I have ever ******* done in my life. 10/10 would never stealth.
