Because, that's not going to work, they'll just not hire anyone else, since they only want to hire people that'll work for shit pay. And going to a new country for a better life won't work in the long run if you make life worse for everyone there.

If they are not gonna hire anyone else with a higher pay then they will not hire anyone else even if there wouldn't be any foreign workers and therefore they would not be stealing any jobs... At this point let them be, at least they're improving their living conditions without hurting ours.

You're correct, centuries ago finances were likely the lowest concern, but that was a different time, where being able to take care of yourself held a different meaning.

In the earliest days of man, females sought out the strongest males to procreate with, because they showed that they could bare strong children, keep the family safe, and keep the family fed.

Nowadays, to be able to take care of yourself means that you are financially independent and more importantly, financially secure. If you are living paycheck to paycheck with just you and your girlfriend and barely making ends meet, having a child is not the right move to make.

I'm not saying people don't deserve to have children, everyone has that right, but they need to be responsible about it.

How many young fathers have just walked away because "it was just too hard"? Guess what, raising a kid is hard. If you're not responsible enough to pay your bills on time, what makes you think you're responsible enough to take care of a child?

Regardless of what you think, they go hand in hand. The key word I keep using is 'responsibility'. Think real hard about all of the dead beat fathers and mothers who have walked away from their families because of the struggles of trying to raise a family on a tight budget.

I'll grant you this, being good with finances doesn't automatically make you a good parent, but love alone won't put food on the table or a roof over your head.

Nowadays is higly improbable to die of starvation in a first world country, anyone can get access to the basic resources that are necessary to keep living. Maybe you won't eat strawberries everyday but that's not such a big problem i think... Given that, we arrive at the logic conclusion that parents that don't want to take their responsibilities simply don't have enough strong will to sacrifice part of their wealth to raise their children. I'm not saying this to criticize or judge them, i know that it's not simple and they're afraid or worried about the future, I only want to explain why having children shouldn't be condamned even if you can't afford to change your smartphone every year.
P.S. The amish comunity is a great example, they live quite well using the technology of centuries ago without problems.

It's financially and morally irresponsible to have children when you're already unable to take care of yourself.

If you can't afford taking care of a child (cause it gets pretty damn expensive) you shouldn't plan on having one until you're financially set, instead of putting a child through that kind of struggle.

Humanity until the last century has never known about financial setting, maybe our ancestors shouldn't have procreated!! Oh no, that's plain stupid and would have eradicated our species... Since when having money is more important than having morals to be a parent? What kind of fucked up world are we living in if an entire generation (and the amount of green thumbs on this post shows this) truly believes that to value a good parent you have to look at his money? I would always prefer to live in a little house with the minimum necessary (no iphones, playstation and all that kind of things) but filled with my parents love than to grow up like a little spoiled brat that has everything material but nothing in his heart...
sorry for the bad english, it's not my first lenguage
