"hipster books"? Hmm, do you mean literary classics by chance? Just because the internet tells you to hate hipsters, doesn't mean you do, and also, just because they're old books, doesn't make them hipster books. It means they know literature or they had a class in school that forced you to read them, and I have had classes that ask you to do so.

You are the one being pretentious as shit here.
"Those hipster books" ? Stop spitting on classic literature and categorizing it in a stupid way that doesn't makes any sense. You hate hipsters because every else does, fine, but it does not denigrate the books at all.
"Fukin anonimous mask", stop being such a dumbass, of course it's ridiculous but it still is a symbol of strikers today that the drawer can use.

A. Have you ever heard those books in actual pop culture?
The books are fine but the fact they are being used as a symbol of hur this is socialism v captalism v society and hierarchy. The fact that he used them as symbolism makes them hipster books. He might as well have added a panel of someone giving Ayn Raynd a blow job.

B. That mask represents what is wrong with protesters. The only imarge invoked with it is fucking children who think they are doing something by bitching and moaning while maintaining they are doing it for the lulz. The fact that he added the scum of the protest world says a lot about how the image invokes SHIT.

The comic is pretentious as shit. All of it. The images. The people. The message. The pop culture references.

While I understand that the comic appears pretentious due to the 99%ers and such, Sophie Scholl was writing about resistance to Nazi Germany, so the quote itself is not really pretentious and more of a comment on the millions of Germans who just went along with the Third Reich due to it being inconvenient to do so otherwise.

Oh, I totally agree. Just an odd little coincidence that more people with high IQ's tend to have a mental disorder or social handicap of some type as well.
