Relatively.

Tesla designed the tech that did it.

Edison used it to try and scare people away from using AC instead of DC.

It worked. Except not really.

Elephant was named Bitsy or something.

I dont know man... i mean i attended a technical school where i had to mill and cut aluminium and steel (sorry i dont remember the carbonic content of the steel, but it was steel) and steel took way more to bend, break or cut than aluminium, but it was heavy as fuck. as a freshman project we had to make an aluminum baseball bat. in junior year we had some free time, so i decided to make a steel one, i dont know if it is experience but i remember breaking like 3 aluminium bats while using the lathe to cut them, but the steel one was my first try. also im pretty sure i could right now bend the aluminium one, so im kind of careful with it.

aluminium on the left, steel on the right

Gamestop provides all the companies with free advertisement and creates competition between stores like walmart and target, which don't focus on games. Competition keeps the prices low but so does the fact that a consumer is more likely to be willing to spend a couple extra bucks for a new game, but if the new games cost $80+ the margin of people willing to buy new versus used drops.

Finally company policy is to take any game provided it meets the following criteria; no heavy scratching, scratches that catch the fingernail should be taken, but a fee must be applied to have the disc sent out and buffed, this includes circle pattern etching caused by the xbox. Also cracks along the hub (central hole of the disc that the spinner rises up into), can be accepted, but again the fee, finally cover art side damage or cracks along the hub that go past the hub divide (the raised bump that separates the plastic ring from the data bearing portion of the disc) cannot be accepted.

This means light scratched or even moderately scratched discs must be accepted, or your local store isn't following company policy. Finally unless you actually get to go into the back room of the store you will never see the full brunt of the games that the store actually carries. Every time the particular stock of a given game exceeds 7 copies 5 copies have to be removed and bundled up and taken into the back room, and no more than 2 actual product cases (not the promotional generic display cases) can be on the wall.

The literacy rate in a country like Norway is 100%. In the US it's 99%. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_literacy_rate
Once you buy your physical copy of a game, you should be able to do what you want with it.
"Change" can either be bad or good, in the Xbox ONE's case, it's certainly very bad.
