I used to have an account on FJ, the username was Blaaken, but forgot my password and the email. So I made a new one. Add me on Xbox if you play Minecraft or GTA IV.

And how does being a scientist take skill? An Author or musician I can see, and I thinking being an actor/actress takes more "skill" than being a scientist

yes all of these can take skill, but none of them need to have skill. Though to be a scientist you do need to have a certain curiosity about things and how they work as well as having a back bone as it would be easy to lie about results. But in never said anything about the others. It just bugs me when athletes flip out and say that their sports take a ton of skill when that is total BS. To succeed you need no skill, you need practice. Though a musician does take skill in order to sound good. (Skrillex don't count.)

I'm pretty sure if you lied about results, that would be fraud. But I suppose none require born skill and you can learn how to do it, though for certain ones it would be a lot easier than others

right, and lying about results isn't really fraud unless it results in someone getting harmed because of what you did, typically if a scientist lies about results then basically no one will ever believe them again and they will be shunned from the scientific community.

Well yeah, that can apply to any of the above. I guess what I'm trying to say is that athletes shouldn't be discredited just because what they do gets them more money and fame than a scientist.

This is true. But the statement "Being an athlete takes skill." is completely false. It takes no skill, skill on helps and can only take you so far and that is what my point is.
