the oil sand must make good money and you're most likely right i live in northern Ontario in a gold mining town so it's doing well but because other cities are in financial trouble we cant make full use of the capital we gain from mining exploration and it causes some tension between us and Toronto because the provincial politics revolve to mush around it.

Yeah that makes sense. It's probably a similar situation to what goes on with the oil and the federal aspect of it - like the west vs the east. theres always been a battle on the Oil and shit like that. So that wouldn't surprise me tbh.

southern Ontario is going to shit i mean Canada's Detroit i mean Toronto it feeding off the profitable cites and killing them slowly cause most of the tax (provincial) money goes there and it has sparked some debate to divide north and south Ontario well were i live that's a common opinion

Granted I do live in Alberta and I wouldn't be surprised if Albertan news would just sweep that kind of news under the rug like its nothing. Given their views on the eastern side of Canada. I mean over here were doing fairly well, I think Alberta has the best economy in Canada for the most part, so I guess I wouldn't see much change.
