anon (08/23/2015) [-] It's not his home though. He's squatting on it because a European told him he could. the most stupid part of it is that jews from all over the world who have little to no connection to israel, like ones that have only ever been foreign born,,,can still 'return' to israel it makes about as much sense as your average american 'returning' to england because 500 years ago his ancestors came over as colonists yet somehow israel calls their bullshit legit >Neither of them seem to want peace very much Oh so, the part where they negotiated conquered lands for peace with their neighboring countries isn't very "peace-wanting"? Mkay. Even if it is those terms that you seem to claim, it's still an indication that Israel wants peace, more so than Palestine. well is it really peace when they just want to make palestine suffer under oppressive terms say if some guy came into your house...beat the shit out of you, then picked up your tv, and told you they'll leave you alone if you just let them take it...how would you view that? Woah woah woah, "Oppressive terms"? Like what? The reason Israel kicked the asses of every single neighboring country around them was because they decided they didn't want Israel so they all jumped on them offensively. Israel retaliated, even taking more lands than anyone would've ever expected until the USA (or UN, I forget) told them to stop. It was considered conquered lands in war-time, and Israel had right to keep the lands and expand their own territory but they instead negotiated for peace, as you can see with Jordan. They didn't impose any "oppressive terms" on Egypt after giving them land. If you're referring solely to the Gaza Strip, then blame the majority of the inhabitants there for selecting Hamas as their "rulers", if Hamas didn't train people to take guns and shoot Israeli people, and send suicide bombers against Israel, and actually tried to start fixing up the Gaza Strip, then maybe that defensive wall wouldn't have been there in the first place. But no. Religious views and Jihads make the Hamas turn to violence. #307 -
burytia (08/24/2015) [-] well israel is based on stolen land....jews lived alongside muslims and christians and then WW2 happens and POOF, a chunk of shared land is marked out specially just for the jews...and not just any jews but european ones who have never set foot there before so you have a bunch of arabs pissed at these foreigners suddenly being given special snowflake privilege over their land first off...out of all the peoples who have lived in the region in the last 4000 years.....jews have only really had a period of less than 500 years (1/8) of that time....and yet they act like they have 100% claim to the land above all others who have ever lived there and secondly....theres a huge difference to the lands what were granted to them in the original settlement...and what they have now after invading palestinian lands and holding as much as they can and telling the palestinians to just deal with living in whats effectively open air prisons that used to be their homeland for hamas...given palestine hasnt had much of a chance to actually organize things like government, police or military, so as a desperate people they turned to hamas as the one group of people who banded together with some kind of leadership to resist israel yeah hamas sucks but you can kinda see palestine was left with either hamas resisting or them being a completely shattered people with no hope or fight left in them and anyway...hamas isnt a real leadership its just a resistance group that attracts people by the simple ideal of fighting in any way they can.... not too different to when nazi germany occupied poland and slapped all its politicians and intellectuals into camps, people turned to resistance groups and for religion...theres very little difference between islam and judaism....i think its just some schism as to two brothers in their religious stories and both sides picked different brothers as the more important guy in their stories...either way they still believe in alot of the same shit The reason JEWS act like they 100% claim to the land is because of their RELIGION, their precious Torah tells them that GOD gave them the land. Yeah, the Arabs settled the land before but technically held no "legal" rights, the kind of rights which everybody are so fervently concerned with nowadays. You know what else the Torah says? That the Jews were in exile from Israel because of all the sins they committed and now they must repent, hence why they haven't lived in Israel for so long. [Correct me on this however as my memory on this is not sharp]. The reason there was a huge difference in the lands that were given to them, was because the original plan to divide the country between Israeli and Arabs groups fell out. The Arabs didn't want the Jews to settle in Israel and they resorted to attacking them rather than pressing a different kind of agreement. So Israel plunged to war. Guess what, Jews captured most, if not all, of the lands originally designated to the Arabs, and the lands stay theirs as conquered ground. "Palestine hasn't had much of a chance to actually organize things" Right... So, without Hamas, the IDF decided to go into the Gaza Strip, on a regularly basis and say "You know what, we'll fuck you up once in a while because we hate you". No. The Gaza Strip was walled up because they still sent suicide bombers and grouping the remaining Arabs in that area was an attempt to stop those bombers. One of the Prime Ministers of Israel (Itzhak Rabin) ordered the IDF out of the Gaza Strip because he believed in peace and the mutual agreement of both sides in peaceful existence in one country. But nope. He got shot, and incursions from the Gaza Strip started again, and the IDF got back in there. If Palestine, and the Arabs, were actually interested in coexisting and peace, they'd take strides in that direction. But no. They chose Hamas because they didn't realize the liberties and rights they had, they were affected by the racism prevalent in Israel towards Arabs and chose Hamas, who now has a hand over every single Arab in the Gaza Strip. If they know about a certain Arab who has permission and license to go and work anywhere in Israel, they can just force him to do anything on the threat of killing his family. But I will say, both sides of this argument are acting hypocritical. Both sides have extremists. On the Israeli side, we have people crying "Death to the Arabs", and the same goes for the other side but no one wants to get to the bottom of the problem. You too, and I do agree on your last note regarding religion albeit, I would say that eliminating religion all together might be extreme but rather, removing the major power from religion is an option. I say this because I know some people who can't, psychologically, exist without the idea of an almighty being, or other such. they could give up their bullshit and convert into that Druze religion that wants to unite everyone yeah there are a number of peole who 'need' the psychological crutch of religion to help them exist...... just look at people in the bible belt in usa who flip out whenever you say literally anything that disagrees with their religious ideals well the palestinians dont have much to do other than resist israeli occupation in WW2 when germany occupied countries....resistance groups in france poland and czech went around killing german soldiers and sabotaging factories and vehicles where they could to make things miserable for germany, and the resistance fighters are hailed as heroes here we have israeli doing the occupation but the arabs in resistance groups are called 'terrorists'..... all in all the best way to end the shitstorm would be just round up everything to do with their religions and just burn it all.....destroy the religions clashing and shit can end | ||
