| The only one I know of is Star Wars D6, which is just Star Wars DnD with simplified stat sheets, but I don't doubt that there are many others out there. Really any setting can be turned into a tabletop game as long as people understand how to create halfway balanced stats to represent the world. I wouldn't be surprised if there existed a game that matched the Warhammer 40k setting. Quick google search showed that there are several roleplaying games that match your description: www.luisescobarblog.com/six-of-the-best-superhero-tabletop-role-playing-games/ Here's wikipedia's lists: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_role-playing_games_by_genre The star wars RPG from Fantasy Flight games (who also made a Warhammer Fantasy and 40k rpg system(s)) is really good. It uses a similar dice pool mechanic to that of their Warhammer Fantasy game. There is also a D20 star wars but that's crap compared to the Dice Pool System that both their SWRPG game and their WHF game use (not the same but similar for both though i think the Fantasy game used the %d system that WH40K RPG before using the dice pool). The 40k system is Dark Heresy / Rogue Trader / Only War / Black Crusade / Deathwatch. For Inquisition, Explorers/Traders, Imperial Guard, Chaos, Space marines focused experiences respectively. And uses d10s for it's rolls (stats go from 0-100 (but count in-between as 0-10), roll equal or less than your stat and you complete the action). | ||

| Also, yeah. Roll20.net is pretty straightforward and user friendly for doing an online campaign. I had a buddy back a few years ago who grabbed a bunch of people from a reddit page. Basically, he just said he was starting an online campaign, gave the details, and asked if anyone wanted to join. Three years later, we're still playin Pathfinder and CoC weekly together. In short, my best advice is to just check the various forums. Look for games that are starting up and say you'd like to join. This may take some time, but I see them every now and then. Here's the Forum page for Pathfinder: paizo.com/paizo/messageboards/paizoPublishing/pathfinder/pathfinderRPG One other thing, be prepared to try out several different groups till you find one you like. Different DMs have different styles. Some might be all about the out-of-combat roleplay, some might do nothing but dungeon crawls. Also, every now and then you find someone (or several someones) who is a jerk or immature or both. We've kicked people out of our campaigns because they seemed more interested in fighting with the other players than fighting the enemy. Are there any modern/future games that you know of? I remember a day or two ago reading about a superhero vs villain scenario. | Everybody on here talks about how Roll20.net is the place to organize a dnd group, also with a bunch of FJer's, but I've never been able to get in on those things. What I do to fill my dnd needs (as some jackass walked away with my 3.5e core books) is watch Critical Role on GeekandSundry.com . A bunch of voice actors play DnD while being recorded. Shits sweet man, I'd definitely check them out if you're jonesin' hardcore, like I am. They go live every thursday, btw, on twitch. Also, yeah.
