Kinda yeah, atheism just means a lack of a belief in a god or gods. It doesn't claim anything, it's just a position of non-belief. It's saying 'nah I don't believe you' when someone tells you a magic man in the sky (or whatever other supernatural phenomenon) exists.

Yeah, but that's not what I said. I said it is no better. There are plenty of fantastic cops out there and it shoudn't be a gut reaction that they're racist trigger-twitchers. If a guy demonstrates that he is in some way decent you shouldn't be jumping immediately to the conclusion that he wouldn't do the same for a black person.

Yes, some cops are racist sacks of shit, and they're also fucking thugs running a legal mafia in a lot of ways, but to assume a cop is gonna shoot a black guy is no better than assuming a black guy is gonna shoot a cop.
