agreed, or you can start with a hubsan x4 and start flying indoors, or in low wind conditions, its a rather durable little quad, and great for learning, and get the right one, you can experience a little FPV for little money, though flight time is limited.

but yes, a Syma X5C is a great choice for quads, of course a homemade one is always best for most things, as it does what you want it to, as good as you want it to do it.
