I kinda agree, but it's not like he did it intentionally.

Plus, she deserves it retro-actively for being such a cunt. And this is coming from another rape victim. I hate when people use that sort of trauma to develop a sense of entitlement. They make the rest of us, who just want a halfway decent fucking life, look like selfish cunts who can't think of anybody else.

I'm terribly sorry for what happened to you, but some people would deal with the trauma differently, and this girl didn't even seem that bad. Just a kid. And based on the insults the two used, they seem pretty young, around 12, so the girl would be much to young to deal with what happened to her, especially because it was her dad and maybe her mom wasn't that good either.

The insult it self was rather childish in the first place, and a simple sorry might have done wonders for her mental health. This will sound very cliched, but taking the high road may make her follow in your footsteps.

I do as well. Perhaps I could have worded that differently, but honestly, beyond a few red thumbs, it's more or less group mentality.

From what I got from this is that some guy hit your sister, and you hit him back.

The fact that her dad sexually abused her is terrible. What you said probably brought back terrible memories for her.

Ditto. It always struck me as odd that Voldemort is basically the Hitler of the Wizarding World, but the scope of the conflict was mostly limited to England.
Don't get me wrong, I loved the series to death, but if the foreign wizard communities weren't even bothered enough to get involved, then it kinda diminishes Voldemort's status in the grand scheme of things, you know?

Yo usee jokes about muslim people being terrorist.
Jokes about muslim people blowing themselves up.
Jokes about life being shit in the middle east.
I think that qualifies.

We also joke about everyone blowing up. I've seen jokes about Americans being shot and I found them funny enough. It was when you got into specific incidents that it was touchy- it made them feel more real. There's jokes about the Boston Marathon, and that's fine with me, but there were some only hours after it happened

well...people die all the time one way or another. so why should I care?
besides, I was watching the news earlier and there was an explosion at the same time in Iraq that killed 36 people and injured 200 and no one gave a flying fuck about them. just tell me what's so special about this particular explosions?
#11 - benvinnyandmia (04/16/2013) [-]
What's special about this explosion? Well, it did take place on American soil. Don't give me the bullshit, 'It doesn't matter where it takes place! We should cover them both just as much.!' They both may be equally tragic, but this one killed Americans in a huge sporting event in a capital city. Of course Americans will mourn the death of other Americans more than others. People in Iraq will mourn those deaths before they mourn the American deaths. Both are just as sad, but this one

There's a time for laughing about things, and I know that the internet (myself including) often goes numb to other's pain, but after the Sandy hook shooting, about half of you refused to make any jokes about it for weeks because it was 'disrespectful'

my dog died recently, i have had him since i can remember. He was the only thing near me i never thought of dieing....i didn't know what to think or feel. I have been dealing with deaths of animals since 9 (probably why that is the age i realized death) because i have been caring for kittens since then, wild, abandoned ones with disease, parasite, and malnutrition...so i have built up an immunity, but i still can't stand the thought of death, it scares me and depresses me and i don't know what to think of it.
