Haven't seen the new Total Recall, and I don't really plan on it

if you don't go into it expecting to see the first total recall, and just wanna see a good scifi film, then it's good.

.... is there anyone who really thought the original was a well done and terrific movie? It was just AHNOLD all the way through. We only like it now for the nostalgic Sci-Fi ridiculosity and explosions.

Oh no, you misunderstand me! The first Total Recall and Red Dawn are some of my favorite movies ever! Havent seen the new red dawn, but i'm sure i'd rather watch the predecessors any day. They were brilliantly made and nothing could top them in their own category.

My statement said that the new total recall is a 'good' sci-fi film, not an abso-flippin-loutly fantastic one!

Most of you are too antisocial to have any friends who are even close to these types of people. So you really wouldn't know what their personality is like, and thus judge wrongly.

The ones who DO have friends like these, will understand that OP's wrong. These people are funny, entertaining, and cool. They shouldn't kill themselves.

First, Take it easy with the social skills assessments over the internets. (one to talk)
Second, I do have friends like this and yes, it is entertaining for a stretch but after a while, they need to grow up.

Growing up happens with time. You'll never see a 40 year old act like this. Because people who are like this, do this stuff while they are in their youth, and grow out of it. Telling them to grow up while still young is not right.

So because they don't grow up they should kill themselves? Yea good idea. Look I'm just as anti-social as anyone here (not saying you are) I'm awkward to but I have a best friend like that she does need to grow up but I'm never going to tell her to kill herself. You guys just assume that a human life is nothing and just telling them to kill themselves is ok because what your better than them?

This has nothing to do with the value of human life. We're talking about the mindset described. Don't get obsessed with the punch line. The "kill yourself" is a joke, (hopefully) I don't think that anyone (hopefully) here wants your friend to end her life.
