| My hardest mission was midway through the "tree" if I remember. Both missions were objectively " good but moved you one or two places toward the dark side for some reason. It was destroy 40 sentries with Maria or find the professor to calm your (Shadow's) worries for his safety. It was a flashback, and the sole reason I tried to activate the "player 2 has joined' " feature. it wasn't actually a feature, just a fake cheat code some asshole put on the internet. At least, to the best of my knowledge. I never got it to work, I played the Xbox version and it was "copied" as mentioned above. I was like 10 and had no reason to suspect it wouldnt work or find out how to fix it. Thanks though, wondering the truth about that code used to keep me up at night. "Shit! What if I was supposed to enter the code on the second controller, AFTER I started the mission but before I switched objectives?" I actually remember reading that 2P was only visible from the 1P view and it would not open up a second screen. For some reason I didn't believe it, I was a stubborn child. No to you. I do get it, at least I think I do. , I believe you on the not needing a code part. I just was always trying the code I found online to do the thing that my friend (who also used the GameCube version) could already do, the make the follow characrer run off screen thing. I honestly can't remember how I tried to do the split screen co-op story thing, or why i thought it was possible to do at all, probably an urban legend in my town or something. I think I just tried to unlock all the cheats thinking it would miraculously pop up or whatever, like a super mirror mode, level of unlockable. (I never got that either cuz I sucked at Mario kart.) I never checked for a console diffence once I stopped playing the game. For all I know, the Xbox version could have come with a jetpack and unlockable _noclip I just checked, it didn't. I loved that one actually. Even funnier now because its considered edgy with lyrics like "here we go buddy". But yeah, it was good. | ||

anon (01/04/2016) [-] Gameplay wise its a good game but It feels kinda like Starfox Adventures, like they started work on the game with the intention of it being something new but the Shadow the Hedgehog was shoehorned in as the Main character at the last minute just for his street credit. You aren't wrong to like it. I always have nostalgia goggles for the 3-D sonics that I played. But when I try to play them today it goes terribly. Most notably in shadow, (which I don't think I owned so much it was "copied" for me and I was too young to know what piracy was) Was a particular final mission on a collapsing space station. A glitch with the triangle jump caused me to fall directly onto a chaos emerald If I had been going for the Evil mission I would have been stoked but I was trying to get a neutral ish hero ending. There was no way to reset as I had finished the level by falling right on it. Once I beat the final boss I was free to retry the level but ended up playing a whole new campaign to get a "full hero" ending. That shit was so glitched it wasn't funny. Also, as 10 year old kids, my friend and I could only play that game because of the E-10 rating (parents were kinda strict on games) It was cool, but every time you fell off a level shadow swore with the dreaded D word! Damn, not here! Having to navigate a glitch filled light dash puzzle or railyard with your parents watching was the most stressful thing we diid at that age. Maybe it'll shit on my fond memories, but I'm half tempted to load that game on an emulator and play it again. gameplay wise it was better than adventures 2 but its concept was just really strange i remember when i got if for christmas, played through it and got pissed because i thought you only had the neutral route, noticed it and played all levels on all possible goals not all 200 or whatever endings, just all endings for every level really liked it hardest mission was destroy the presidents plane if i remember correctly or finding all chaos stuff on the space station destroying airforce one was easy. cleaning up all the bombs was the hardest. I can't remember what you had to do, but I remember the hardest mission for me being the last mission on the good tree. My hardest mission was midway through the "tree" if I remember. | Konami have already stated they'll continue the metal gear series, however what's up in the air is how exactly, because nearly all the storylines bar raidens has been tied up, so their only option is to either reboot from the start or make a sequel with entirely new characters. | Kojima productions is only their because it was the fox engine it was developed on, their product. Normally when it's just the engine used they give them a small ass credit amongst a shit load of legal nonsense like the unreal engine, but because it's metal gear, kojimas baby, they had a big logo. Makes me wonder, though. Does Kojima productions still own the fox engine or is it part of konami. I don't know who owns what, but my dream is for that game to defy the odds and get a sequel. It wouldn't be such a distant dream if Konami didn't start trying to slowly kill themselves for no apparent reason. | Nah, just looked it up. He and his team was originally gonna make it, at this time it was called MGS: Rising. However his team had problems working out the new game mechanic, so Kojima passed on everything on to platinum, removing all involvement. He's not even credited as a producer. My guess is Kojima pushed for the game to be made by anyone, but konami probably removed kojimas name being involved incase it flopped. They definitely didn't remove his name, there's a big ass Kojima Productions logo when you start the game. But if they made it without him... That means the sequel dream can live. | It's actually only one sequence. Monsoon, one of the villains, has an obsession with memes, meaning traits of human nature passed through generations. Although with this game's sense of humor, it was probably a joke that he called them memes in the first place. Nah, just looked it up.
