Careful, using feminist terms like "toxic masculinity" can get you tarred and feathered on this site.
In all seriousness, though, I'm glad I didn't have to deal with that bullshit in high school. Maybe because my classmates were nicer and less judgmental than average, but more probably because I took mostly advanced classes and most of the people in my class were nerds and liberals who rarely played sports themselves.

Be careful, you are on FJ - the place where hardly anyone has ever spoken to women, let alone ever actually met a feminist. People here actually believe there is some big feminist movement comprised of millions of unreasonable people (because that is what other people on FJ said).

I disagree, I think it's a convenient scapegoat for people to hang their individual failures on. If women were paid less than men, for example, then employers would be lapping women up; that's the nature of capitalism. I've never seen something that tells me that women are disadvantaged because of their gender in the USA, only various people debunking such ideas. To me affirmative action reeks of a tacit admission that such people are inherently worse than men which is something yet to be demonstrated. Pushing for equality of outcome when girls receive a far higher level of opportunity than boys at school and college is not only driving in the coffin nail of men in academia but it smacks of communist bullshit. I'm a liberal but I try to live in reality rather than accept somebody's talking points and then try to inflict them on the world. If all women receive affirmative action then is any women's achievements really their own or something they've been given over a man with the same qualities who is paying for the alleged crimes of his ancestors and kin? It's just slavery reparations by another name and it's bigotry from the other side of the field.
