Yeah, I think it's called the Emu war. According to wikipedia, the battle forces of the emus were: 2000 emus. The Australians had 2 machine guns, and still lost.

each summer i spend one month at my beach house... i don't have internet there because i spend very few time there except in summer so that means i would not be able to play during all my summer vacations
User avatar #238 - thewaronbeingcool (06/11/2013) [-]
The problem with the required internet connection, is that even if you have an amazing internet, those servers will be turned off one day. If you don't think it will happen, the know that the original xbox's online servers were turned off back in 2010.

Without those servers you won't be able to play singleplayer or multiplayer games, and considering how Microsoft doesn't care about backwards compatibility any more, you wont be able to play your xbone games on the xbox two either.

So long story short, without those servers your console becomes an overly expensive blu-ray player, and your games are worthless.

You're missing the fact that there are still plenty of folks around the world that do NOT have reliable internet connections. There's many factors that contribute to that... crappy location, crappy ISP, not being able to afford broadband service, etc.

I used to be stationed on submarines, and most of our non-working time was spent with various console or PC games to pass the time. I'd certainly be pissed off if I couldn't play the games I purchased simply because I was at sea for more than 24 hours.

It's the fact that you NEED an internet connection to play any games. Some people can't afford the monthly cost of internet and therefore, wouldn't be able to play the Xbox One at all. And, Judging Microsoft, yes you will need to pay for Xbox Live for that. You had to pay for Xbox live just to watch Netflix on your 360.
