It's a Tau Fire Warrior, they are very long range heavy infantry, but are utterly useless in melee combat.

It's not a robot, it's a Xenos race called the Tau and the symbol is it's cast mark.

The entire flaw with that graph is that it's "A percentage of I-dont-fucking-know". You cant compare that shit. It's misleading and logically wrong.
User avatar #174 - Trrave (12/05/2014) [-]
Sure it would be better if it had totals. But saying that 87% of all members of a particular group survived works just as well saying 87 of 100 survived. I agree with your point of not knowing the total number of men and women making it harder to compare, but I doubt they were actually trying to make a point. I think the whole point of the graph was to rustle up someone's jimmies. I don't think that they particularly cared whose jimmies they rustled, just as long as there were indeed jimmies rustled.
#178 - afaik (12/05/2014) [-]
Exactly.
The graph's intent was to rustle jimmies disguised as information.
Many commercials' intents is to make people believe they need something when they don't disguised as information.

I've grown a habbit of trying to spot any time there's fuckery about, find out what the fuckery is, and be prepared for the next time similar fuckery occurs or/and let other people know that there's fuckery about.

Also, just an amusing scenario that popped up in my head:
There was a robbery and out of 200 people, 80% of the African American hostages were shot. This would naturally make people assume that the robbers are racists and cause an even larger shitstorm. Even though 80% out of 5 black people is still just 4 black people
User avatar #199 - Trrave (12/06/2014) [-]

Women and children first is almost always the case in emergencies.
User avatar #131 - belikea (12/05/2014) [-]
And I also just noticed the statistic about women crew survival. it occurs to me that, though I will be the first to admit that I don't know the actual numbers on board, that there were probably fewer women crew members. If true, this would mena that fewer had to get out in order for that statistic to jump up like it has.

True enough, but I'm just saying that it isn't a good sign. Also the accent they give her is the most grating one in the history of modern gaming. Which is bad, because her voice actress has a good natural voice.

NEVER mine straight down. Infact, never mine in a direction which lava can possibly hit you if its behind the block.

I wish the explanation was as simple as that. No, what happened was I was mini g a block in front of me. It disappeared. I walked forward. I was lava, but I stopped too late.

I'm an idiot

Designer calling the character Cassandra Phentagast a "crusty french baguette" Sounds better, still does not sound appealing. Here's a picture of her. Also not that appealing, but probably because she has angry/sleep deprived eyes.
There is another option, a girl who is who is bisexual. Compare this to Mass Effect, which has 4 straight relationships for each sex. And several bisexual ones. Something for everyone.
User avatar #21 - belikea (11/14/2014) [-]
Alright. That's actually funny. I'm still going to withhold judgement until I actually start playing the game, though. Since that's probably the best way to understand a character

User avatar #33 - belikea (11/10/2014) [-]
" stead of landing on Plymouth rock, Plymouth rock would land on them", so not the last line in the song, but the last in the opening. Considering the song's context, I'm assuming it's an innuendo I don't get
