Yes.

It's a two party system, that's how it goes. Watch Australia - everyone's fed up with Labor. Give it a few years, it'll be the same with Liberal.

Romney was a spy for the democrats
User avatar #29649 - byposted (05/19/2013) [-]
Romney wasn't even running on a Conservative platform. He did nothing his entire career for Conservatives, embraced no Conservative cause, and it showed in his run. He was literally the least Conservative of all the Republicans and it is doubtful that he would embrace Conservatism while in office lest what was his "moderate" campaign run would prove him to be just another crooked politician. "Vote for Mitt Romney and we promise you that not only will he get elected, he'll govern conservatively," is a big bet given his political history. Millions of Conservative voters boycotted the election as such.

A true Conservative to the like of Reagan can never be elected again. We'll just have more Obamas (More radical Obamas) until this string caves in on itself. For matter of efficiency, the Negroes and Mexicans should just install His Excellency Obama as King since this is bound to happen. The House check, which is the last thing that stands before it, is bound to fall as Mexico annexes Texas and Arizona.

No idea, I thought it was standard political practice to blame someone of an opposing ideology for anything that happened ever, except when something good happened in which case it was your ideology.

1 John 3:8
"Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil."
It seems to me like the devil exists according to the bible.

Um...what?
User avatar #29550 - beatmasterz (05/19/2013) [-]
According to cracked hell and the devil are never mentioned in the bible
#29656 - thezillis (05/20/2013) [-]
The devil is mentioned in the bible
The article was about the exact appearance of the devil
Cracked isnt a very good source
User avatar #29576 - reretzu (05/19/2013) [-]
Actually, Cracked never stated anything like that, however, they did write about how the whole goat with horns look wasn't mentioned in the bible, perhaps you got it mixed up.
User avatar #29581 - beatmasterz (05/19/2013) [-]
Yeah, I looked it up and turned out I was wrong.
User avatar #29560 - Korosia (05/19/2013) [-]
According to a quick word search of the Kindle version (ESV), the word "devil" is mentioned 35 times, and the word "Satan" is mentioned 58 times. (This doesn't, of course, include all the times where he's refered to via metaphor or under a different name)
User avatar #29558 - jokeface (05/19/2013) [-]
I can't tell if you're be serious. First of all, Cracked is not a reliable source of information. In fact it's worse than Wikipedia. Second of all, the devil is mentioned a bunch. Hell is too but the Bible doesn't go into detail about what it's like there.

No he is right, Hitler came to power during the 30s, with the blind ignorance and the people being tired of their situation lead to Hitler coming to power. The 40s was when he already established his power and was at war. I think he ment when people just didnt care what was going on or happy that something was happening then a dictator took to power and fuck over his country.

in three years may happen something when new congress will be voted and new government will start it's work
#29324 - akkere (05/16/2013) [-]
As an American, nope.
Lobbying's a severe issue where we have far too many politicians in the pocket of companies. Call me edgy for that statement because it sounds like it's overused, but it's the truth.
The power of the nation is in the hands of extremists; Very few, if any at all, are moderates in the political parties that have taken hold of the Senate and Congress, and as a result we've been witnessing a back and forth conflict of filibusters and stagnation.
Moderates of the Republican party are especially threatened; Keep an eye on John McCain, he requested for his party to not filibuster, but instead debate a bill that was voted on for the recent issue of gun control, and even voted for that same bill. Don't be surprised (if it hasn't happened already) if he gets circumvented in the next few weeks.
Corruption with town leaders and even gross negligence are also prevalent (at least, here in New Jersey); The arsenic levels in our water reached a level that would merit warning for the townspeople; we were given no such thing.
Not to mention, our recent town election was between a former cop who had pulled a gun on a co-worker in a heated argument, and a pawn shop owner who had tampered with an electronic scale used to weigh gold so he would be able to buy at a lower price.
Satisfied, I am not.

User avatar #29313 - akamrhood (05/16/2013) [-]
As an American... sure. I may not like what my government is doing right now in any subject, but I am alive and healthy..ish so I can't complain.
#29317 - N. Korean citizen (05/16/2013) [-]
you know, people had a similar mentality in germany during the 30s.
User avatar #29320 - akamrhood (05/16/2013) [-]
Agreed, but there is a difference from then and now is, people are actually informed and ahve a voice on what is going on. America will never turn into what germany turned into in the 30s. People are just too connected, plus we have the checks and balances to make sure that doesnt happen. Things always change so maybe in a couple decades things will be different but for now, I am content on what is happening.

I wasn't trying to sound smart, and I don't need to impress any of you. I was just stating my opinion of the novel series compared to the show. I admit, since I didn't get past the first novel, it's not exactly an educated opinion, but I must reiterate that the writing style was just lacking in the compassion and unique expression that makes novels appealing to me.
