Right now my character is a Human (dark creature template) Rogue/Fighter going assassin and shadowlord.

Where can I find this dark creature template? I've never heard of it.

Tome of Magic. It gives insane bonuses to hide and move silently.

I highly suggest using the Half-Illithid template when you get a chance. It adds quite a few interesting things. It can be found in Monster Manual 2 I believe, as well as the book of the Underdark.

As an optimizer, I could not possibly stomach such a high level adjustment.

How about the necropolitan? I'm not sure of what book it is, so I'm sorry if it's wrong, but I believe it's Libris Mortis.

Necropolitan is one of the best things for optimizing. Various undead immunities is amazing.

What exactly is optimizing? I've been playing for a while, and it's not a term anybody in my parties has ever used.

Powergaming. Building a character to be highly powerful. Like my Sorcadin for example. He gets charisma to saves, paladin 2, and I boost the shit out of charisma, as it affects the dc's of my spells.

That would be epic. Might I suggest the DeathKnight? Draws in all undead to you within either a 10 or a 100 mile radius, I can't recall. Either way: hey, undead!
