 >mortal kombat >smash bros >mechanically similar the only similar mechanic is that you hit opponents. literally everything else is diffirent , but if I don't enjoy driving cars and don't enjoy soccer games, (or even the soccer minigame in TF2), why would I enjoy rocket league, it seems basic enough. because it plays nothing like a driving game and nothing like a soccer game, the only mechanics similar are "gas" and "hit a ball in a goal" everything else is diffrent. | ||

| I've played mortal kombat and smash, both are somewhat fun for me, and mechanically they're similar enough that I would say they're the same genre. For rocket league however, if I don't like the base components why would I like the mixture? | This'll be my yearly shitpost-post I guess, I also didn't like Interstellar, I thought they spent too much time explaining what they were doing rather than showing it.  if you would have played it you would shut the fuckinhell up this game is ridiculous amounts of fun and not like fifa and stuff at all I've played sports and driving games before, not only am I bad at them, I don't find them fun to play mechanically. anon (12/20/2015) [-] can agree with historybuff and others i hate most sports and driving games, but rocket league is different. cant pin point it exactly, but its really good. try it out on steam, if you dont like it just refund it. There's no reason for me to put down $20 dollars to buy a game based in two genres I don't like, I'm bad at those game, and it being harder than it looks is definitely another reason why i wouldn't like it. battletechmech (05/03/2015) [-] I actually rather like MWO, the designs on the mechs are fantastic, and whenever i spent money on it, I felt that I wanted to. Progression is rather slow when working on mechs however like most F2P games , but when playing with friends over voicechat, the game becomes a fun strategy game.

battletechmech (03/29/2015) [-] Well it depends, but my overall favorite mech is probably the shadow cat, although i'm not a fan of clans its low weight, ridiculous speed and jumpjet gauss combo is great.
Also in MW4 vengence it's your starting mech, and it's easily one of the best mechs in the game.
