One thing at a time my friend. For all things considered, it's a decent car, and the only times it's ever "broken down" have been my fault, and it gets good gas mileage, so for right now, it's doing alright. Do I want a car that actually performs? Fuck yes, but that's not in the cards for me right now.

Was being a moron and was going faster than I should have been and understeered in a turn and smacked a curb, which cause everything to go all broken-shaped.

well shit. not as bad as what I did once. I went into a ditch going 45mph and hit a culvert pipe and launched the car into the air.

I got mine from a dealer and they'd already done the recall repair, never had an issue with it.

I hold mine by the edge with my fingers outside, that way they hit instead of the door. Otherwise yeah edgeguards seem like the only viable option without looking trashy. If you don't care about looking trashy, cut some water hose in half and stick it around the edge of the door

Well yes, I do to, but I didn't have a good enough grip today, I managed to grab it, but not before it had gained too much momentum and I couldn't stop it in time...
