I still use it for my second monitor
#240 - zeusx (03/17/2015) [-]
would that second monitor happen to be a tv? i notice it's at 768p which is the exact setting i run my tv at as my second monitor because it maximizes readability. also i'm scratching my head wondering why speccy is showing integrated graphics. if you had your gpu driving both your monitors it should be the only "graphics" coming up other than the monitors. are you running gpu on one and integrated on the other? just one more thing, why is your ssd running so hot? 39C. i don't think mine's ever broken 32C. does it happen to be by some kind of case exhaust?

Haha, yup! I happened to have an old flat screen on my wall, so I hooked it up to my GPU as well! Just realised I connected the TV to my GPU's second port, and not my motherboard.

As for the SSD, it's not held in a HDD tray. It's in a confined space that's accessible through my case's right panel. That's probably why it's hot, there's no circulation there.

Move to Texas. 3 inches is a lot of snow. A smart car could get you through the snow here. haha

Hahaha I'm actually considering it once I graduate, since both Austin and Houston seemingly have decent music scenes. I know LA is like one of the sort of meccas of music, but like hell am I moving there.

I want a project too.... This damn truck is too nice to drive anymore. I put less than 7000 miles on it since last January. It's garage kept most of the year.

BTW, I would kill for a little cutty like that. I love those cars.

Yeah, despite the POS motor, that thing was a great car, I'm gonna keep kicking myself for having sold it. It made sense as the time, as I needed something that wouldn't eat me alive in gas, and would be a bit better in the snow, and something just overall more reliable for a daily driver/car to take with me to college, but I didn't end up getting much out of it so in the end keeping it wouldn't have made much of a difference, aside from not really having anywhere to store it...

I prefer being a stage hand. Keeps me fit and entertained. Being the guy at the mixing board bossing people around gets boring.

Still have my first truck. 1970 C10 with a 412ci small block. Used to be a New Mexico farm truck but my dad and I saved it from being sent to a scrapyard. I've had it for 9 years.

Very nice, I've been finding myself looking for a truck or something lately, something that i can just tinker with for pretty cheap and just beat around town and have something that can actually haul gear. I'd loooove to find myself an earlier model suburban or maybe a K5, but seeing as I'm going off to MT this fall for winter, probably not the best time to be picking up a project truck. xD

Rush, Tool, Dream Theater. Stuff like that. Not in a band. I'm usually sound guy for local bands.

At least it's a chevy. haha
#2694 - basshead (03/05/2015) [-]
Ahhh... I need to find myself something like that to do, either playing, or running sound, or just being a stage hand, something.

Yeah, but only so much you wanna do to a little 4 cylinder. xD I still miss my first car, was an '86 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme with a gutless olds 307 that'd seen far better days, but damn did I love it. Still wishing I'd kept it and dropped a 455 into it...
