bananawama (11/26/2011) [-] Okay, it's been slightly over a month, and still no sign of Samus.
I've looked every other night on average.
Since then the rest of my family has gone through 2 other cats and is currently on the third. They both were completely apathetic towards the first two running off, which is kind of to be expected considering they were only here for a couple days at best. And that the outdoors were their real home anyway.
Samus will always be in my memories; however, I've not yet abandoned hope.
This third cat was brought here of my own accord, from a litter of kittens my friend Lauren's cat had. I've named her Luna, and she's been here for about eight or nine days. She's extremely timid and jumpy, and very distrustful and wary despite having no history of abuse or neglect. Which does serve a positive purpose, that being the only person she's cool with is me. She hides from my mother and sister, which is most likely for the best seeing as either of them were the cause of the loss of virtually every other pet I've had.
Anyway, Luna's gotten used to the house and all that jazz but still hides in couches or under chairs if there are any sudden or quick movements, especially by something larger than her. I'm still trying to persevere in the hunt for Samus, but there doesn't seem to be much of a chance, if any.
Just thought I should let you know. :I

Luna sounds like an amazing cat, and it seems you may be getting attached. Your family makes me kind of sad though, as it bothers me when people don't worry about the welfare of pets in their homes. Pets are like babies to me, so that just bothers me.
