| I was forbidden from getting a divorce when I left my wife in America. Told it was repealed 40 years ago. I was only offered an annulment or a dissolution. Opted to dissolve the marriage. Which was free, by the way. #123 -

(Did either one or the other parties cheat?) As of 2010, all 50 states recognize "no fault" divorce(no fault means that marital breach was not an issue), the first being California (I think) back in 1969.. the last is being new york.... now, depending on the judge, they can put a 1 or 2 yr hold on the divorce just in case My wife cheated. A lot. And was a tri-sexual child-molesting druggie drunken hippie. That's why I moved to Asia and married a simple, loyal waifu. Was not allowed a divorce, as I said. My dissolution was based on "irreconcilable differences", due to fucking yuck shit. #127 -

bakagaijin (11/08/2015) [-] Then the judge was bias.... but seeing as how the whole marital system is blatantly one-sided to protect women and leave men pennyless... although I'm engaged to a japanese woman, I learned from the mistakes of many men and am getting a prenup henry the eighth did i think, cus he started a whole church for the uk where divorce was legal so 1509 I do not think the US follows laws that were enacted hundreds of years before it was founded. It looks like the UK indeed might have it though. And some US States. But most nations, particularly Catholic, have annulment, like the Philippines. Other modern governments allow to dissolve a marriage. I was married in the USA and forbidden from getting a divorce, as they had did away with divorces 40 years ago. I had the option of annulment or dissolution. I chose to dissolve the marriage. The point is, people always blurt out "Philippines has no divorce!!!!!" Like it is some kind of mantra. The reality is, many places do not have divorce. But there are many ways to end a marriage... divorce (dɪˈvɔːs) noun 1.the legal dissolution of a marriage by a court or other competent body. also if you google "divorce illegal", the first 8 links are specifically about the phillipines, except the wikipedia one, which in its first paragraph says divorce is legal everywhere apart from the Philippines Neither google nor wikipedia are legal sources. And the wikipedia article does not say that. And your definition supports what I said. the wikipedia first paragraph: This article is a general overview of divorce laws around the world. Every nation in the world allows its residents to divorce under some conditions except the Philippines and the rest foreignpolicy.com/2015/01/19/the-last-country-in-the-world-where-divorce-is-illegal-philippines-catholic-church/ www.theatlantic.com/international/archive/2015/06/divorce-philippines-annulment/396449/ www.npr.org/2015/07/02/419554813/getting-divorced-in-the-philippines-where-its-against-the-law news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/from_our_own_correspondent/9509519.stm edition.cnn.com/2014/10/06/world/asia/philippines-legal-divorce-battle/ www.patheos.com/blogs/andthesethygifts/2015/04/no-need-for-divorce-in-philippines/ www.nytimes.com/2011/06/18/world/asia/18iht-philippines18.html?_r=0 newint.org/blog/majority/2011/07/05/philippines-last-bastion-divorce-illegal/ uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080714055400AAG3K7e info.legalzoom.com/philippine-laws-divorce-separation-annulment-20694.html divorceinthephilippinesblog.wordpress.com/ Again, divorce is expressly forbidden in MANY nations. Including the USA. And despite this, you can still end a marriage. Including the Philippines. As your links even say. lol in america ih is now federal law you can get a divorce as of 2010 with new york being the 50th state to ratify. and a quote from each link saying how its only Philippines, please can you give me some sources to back up what your saying because i cant find it anywhere 1st: "the last country in the world where divorce is illegal" 2nd: "Only Country That Bans Divorce" 3rd: "Getting divorced in the United States is often emotionally taxing, but for the most part, it is doable. Depending on circumstances, it can take just a matter of months. The Philippines is the only country in the world where ending a marriage is not just difficult, getting divorced is against the law." 5th: "The Philippines is the only country in the world, aside from Vatican City, which lacks divorce laws." 6th: "The Philippines is the last country besides the Vatican that has not legalized divorce. " 7: "the Philippines, one of the last countries, along with Vatican City, where divorce is still banned." 8th: "There used to be only two countries in the world – the Philippines and Malta – in which divorce was illegal. But in May, citizens of the Mediterranean nation voted in favour of divorce legalization, leaving the Philippines now the only country in the world which still bans divorce." your link to me to a form to begin my divorce or separation i dont understand www.courts.ca.gov/documents/fl100.pdf1 That is not the link I gave you. Go back to my post and click it. Is not California a US State? As I said originally, and as my link corroborates, there is no divorce in Cali. Your marriage can be dissolved or annulled. No divorce. It was like that when I was denied divorce and given annulment. It is still apparently like that. but the form i linked (which was one of the forms in your link) is a form for a divorce | ||

| There has been to occasional rain, but nothing to complain about, Florida in general is just a rain state. If you're going to the Keys or Marathon Islands, you'll be just fine with just a bit of rain, but rain is fickle down here, so who knows, the weather might suddenly screw us over. | ||

| Pic is bullshit. Matoaka was captured and held in the Americas where she converted to Christianity and took the name Rebecca (not a big deal to her; Powhatans often had multiple names, and would sometimes change them over significant life events). When given the opportunity to return to her people, she chose to stay with the English, and then married John Rolfe (not John Smith). They traveled to England in 1616 not too long after having their son, Thomas Rolfe. They returned to Virginia a year later. You're absolutely right, though sadly she did die en route. Funny thing is she actually liked living in England more than America: in America, her father cared about her so little he wasn't willing to stop fighting when the colonists captured her. In England she was treated like a celebrity. | ||
