| Yeah we were planning on hostel jumping and such. I don't know if my girlfriend has the cardio to bike everywhere, but I definitely do, I assume theres places all over to leave a bike? If I wanted to go into a store, for example? Also, anything in particular you'd recommend for a young couple to see? #227 -
bakagaijin (11/16/2015) [-] Tokyo is pretty flat.... I'm overweight and a smoker and I didn't have a problem biking anywhere and it's probably the only metropolitan city that you can leave your bike unlocked on the side for hours on end and it won't get stolen (all you need is to lock up the back wheel) one of the reasons for this is because bikes must be registered (yes, you can get a parking ticket on a bike, arrested for biking drunk and get your bike impounded for illegal parking) I would definitely check out northern Kanto for the hot springs.. take a few days and climb/camp mt Fuji, check out roppongI (roppongi hills is basically a vertical bar strip) Shibuya (the big crosswalk that you see hundreds of people crossing... and the hachiko statue if you don't know who hachiko was, look it up and get the tissue box ready shinjuku (robot cafe... it's kinda pricy and cheesy but it's a MUST... robots, drums, music and over the top entertainment... it basically looks like what snorting coke and dropping acid feels like) yoyogi park (tokyo version of central park including street performers especially on sundays) Harajuku (tokyo version of St marks place) asakusa (sensoji temple) and Ueno park (tokyo zoo and the kitsune shrine.. it's a beautiful walk during Sakura blooms) also odaiba city is cool with the Gundam statue (1:1 replica) and baratie (one piece restaurant) and tokyo Disney land in chiba.... and if you can stretch your budget, take a shinkansen from tyo to osaka (Kyoto is one of the most awe inspiring and beautiful places in the world) and there's also universal studios in osaka with an attack on titan statue and Harry potter world.... if you want details on anything, just PM me and I'll try to answer to the best of my abilities

| I did not misunderstand. You said: #143 "What part of tokyo do you live in? I have an apartment in Takashina, chiba " Now it is a house? And you live in NYC, but did not know that NYC only refers to Manhattan? Having my doubts... #215 -
bakagaijin (11/15/2015) [-] Ok, let me rephrase it... I have an abode in chiba however, I do not live in japan... I live in ny... and only if you are within the 5 boroughs of New York City do you ever call Manhattan the city... If you are outside the five boroughs of New York City or when speaking to somebody outside of the five boroughs of New York City, then by saying New York City you refer to the five boroughs... I've lived in nyc basically all my life and these are my views on when it's appropriate to say "nyc" or "the city" I am from Upstate NY and "New York City" , The City, is Manhattan. The other boroughs are called by their respective names. Out side of NYS most people do not know that NY is a state. Even in America they think there is NYC and that is the whole state... So do you have a house in Chiba or an apartment? You pay then rent on the apartment and she pays the mortgage??? Do you have a house AND an apartment in Chiba? You said you have an apartment. Then a house. Then you said you pay the rent. But she pays the mortgage... Is your home/apartment stuck in some kind of space-time warp? #218 -
bakagaijin (11/15/2015) [-] Well, coming from a newyorker, whenever we are in the 5 boroughs, we call Manhattan "the city" and the other 4 boroughs are considered nyc... example: my friend texts me where I'm going and I would say I'm going to the city, if I say I'm going to NYC, he would look at me like I have a third head.... I have an apartment in a mansion in Takashina cho Fair enough. What I wouldn't give for some shitty snow weather tight now... Empty most of the year? Seems like a waste of rent.

| Neat. I'm planning a trip with my girlfriend this summer but between the two of us, staying for 3 weeks looks like it's gonna cost 6k-7k. Airfare OP #211 -
bakagaijin (11/14/2015) [-] At the bare minimum, 6k would definitely cover 2 weeks for both (including airfare) but that's staying in hostels and eating in their versions of diners and "going out" (bars and such) 2 nights a week... add on a few hundred bucks for souvenirs and such... I would recommend having a comfortable budget of 7k for 2 weeks and a 3k safety net... if done properly you'll actually go home with a little extra cash (like 4k including the safety fund) you can also save some cash by renting bikes (some hostels are free, others are like 5 bucks) because alot of money goes on train fare that couldve been avoided using bikes.... I recommend Sakura hostel in asakusa or nui hostel (nui is really cool, they have an impressive bar at the front desk) in kuramae... both are really close to temples and electric town (akihabara) Yeah we were planning on hostel jumping and such. I don't know if my girlfriend has the cardio to bike everywhere, but I definitely do, I assume theres places all over to leave a bike? If I wanted to go into a store, for example? | Well we fuck with all the sales ladies at the mall, which is certainly amusing. They are so jealous that a dark, simple provincial is married to a young, European that is not fat. And we have lots of kids now, so they know I am still loving my wife. Every night. The girls here in Manila are part European. Mostly from US soldiers and prostitutes being their grandparents. And they spend loads of money on skin bleach to try to look white. But most of us are not interested in that! Sadly, some probably just gossip "He should not be kissing his servant like that! What if his wife comes back and sees them!" Would love to take my family back to Japan. But all the eikaiwa scene is geared towards young kids teaching for a year and going back... Seriously man, check it out. www.shootingbar-ea.jp/ I had so much fun there. Every drink is named after a gun, and their "menu" consists of the guns and the drinks

| You know what a Pinoy is? You are not one of those worthless TNTs are you? Because marriage won't keep you in the country, you know? #180 -
bakagaijin (11/14/2015) [-] I was under the impression that Pinoy means philipino and I have no idea what tnt means... Yes, it is local slang here. That's why I thought it was strange that you knew it. Usually only locals and immigrants like me know the word... Oh, yeah, just Filipino person. Comes from "Pilipino ay ako". I am Filipino. The a is assimilated by the vowel. "Pilipino'y ako". And then just slurred to "Pinoy ako". So Pinoy is sort of like "am Filipino". In America it could be like calling yourself a Joe or a Jack. Just a slang way of saying a person. Particularly a countryman. Pinoy etymology in a nutshell. By a German. Roppongi is a crazy place. I avoid it and it's niggers selling Filipino whores.... #159 -
bakagaijin (11/14/2015) [-] It's not as bad as I read... you just gotta keep your head out of your ass and not take candy from strangers figuratively speaking .... idk, it might just be the new yorker in me but it's relatively tamed compared to how the Internet makes it seem No, there are normal people there that have fun too. | Delicious. Is that what your fiancee eats? Wait. You said fiance? Is it a boy? Or is it fiancee? Is that really your fiance? I thought you were trolling. If it really is, then no offense. I am not really an asshole... #175 -
bakagaijin (11/14/2015) [-] Doesn't really matter what you think, I was honestly telling you this so you don't wind up marrying the one hot girl that pays attention to you and she divorces you while taking half your shit... but if that's your mentality, thwn do you and I wish you the best I apologized for misunderstanding you and you are going to be an ass about it? My wife is 100% loyal, and we have 5 kids together. Have nothing for here to take half of. And she would not even know how to leave me... #182 -
bakagaijin (11/14/2015) [-] Sorry for being an ass :/ but I get kinda defensive about her since people are kinda mean about that.... Understandable. I just really had no idea. So random really. I am a helpless romantic. If you guys are in love, that's great. Just really thought you were trolling. I will not post a pic of my wife here, but Japan still has that hatred for rural girls. So you might know what they think of them here. It is much worse. Here in the Philippines, she is considered ugly and every always asks if she is my servant.... And this while we are out with the kids. "Hey servant, where is the mother?" they will ask her. You probably don't get that much flack in Japan about being engaged to a thick girl... #190 -
bakagaijin (11/14/2015) [-] Not really... actually I'm surprised how many jap guys are into bigger girls.... I even saw a chubby kyabakura in kansai (she never worked there, she is a chef at a restaurant) but on the plus side, we have fun when we go out since you do have these guys trying to hit on her and she turns around and slaps a girls ass while winking at her....the jelousy on these guys eyes are to die for Well we fuck with all the sales ladies at the mall, which is certainly amusing. Mandatory dorm housing, or 1R, etc. I am pretty much the most cultured Euro here... Kinda cool. Kinda sucks. I love Japan. But tried to move to Taiwan before, but found Hess to have retards in their HR and gave up... Tago Ng Tago. Always hiding. The Filipino concept of going abroad by any means necessary and run away to stay in the country illegally. It is deeply ingrained in the culture. A famous celebrity went to Canada to film a movie and ran away to clean toilets. lol It is not THAT bad here... maybe. Know any English gigs in Japan for old dudes? Well, 40ish. #204 -
bakagaijin (11/14/2015) [-] Lol, no... I don't really know any English teachers since most of my friends are japanese and don't even speak English (or minimal) and no, I'm not tnt, just stay for at most a week so I don't come anywhere near my 90 days.... besides, if I REALLY wanted to move perm to japan, I'll just get my job to sponsor a work visa or just marry my girl and apply for residency #210 -
bakagaijin (11/14/2015) [-] No... I think you misunderstood.... I have a house in chiba, but I live in NYC I did not misunderstand.

| My bad. I thought you were trolling. I picked the fatty out of a comp of 50 girls. How was I to know she was your fiancee? Most people here do not even post personal pics. Just re-post form other sites. No, it's all good. Who am I? Best friends and engaged. That's great. But 20 fucking years? Get on with it already! lol My wife is a Filipino. Grew up in a bamboo hut. Has less than perfect teeth... My best friend and Mother of my 5 boys and counting! There are literally thousands of girls here that beg to be with me daily. Quite a great deal look like models. My wife is much more simple than them. But she is still beautiful to me. I am certainly not a shallow person. Just thought you were trolling. Well come on and get married! You are not getting any younger. Japan has a child birth rate problem you need to work on. You are lucky you are in a nation that is easy for having kids.... | ||

deutschblut (11/14/2015) [-] Well, Chiba is not in Tokyo. Unless you meant that is where these pics are from? I used to live in Ichikawa. I loved Chiba. Never saw crazy there...And it was super cheap. I used to live in Hachiouji, Tokyo for the longest time. Beautiful, normal, quiet, cheap, lots or trees... "Lived". Past tense. I am a Permanent Resident in the Philippines now. Just could not fathom marrying a J-girl. And would be impossible to have 20 kids. Well, not really, that would be easy in Japan. But hard to find someone willing. Here, if I was not married, I could have kids with hundreds of girls and no one would be jealous. As you can see, progeny is a huge part of my life and I have no hobbies.... This was my "crazy Tokyo" #149 -
bakagaijin (11/14/2015) [-] Post was in roppongi... I've seen some shit in chiba, pretty big Pinoy community there, within my first week I saw a guy wandering chibaken in a bunny suit from 4am to 6am, guy wearing a skirt and a Yakuza naked and drunk passed out in front of his car at 10am with a cop standing over him.... You know what a Pinoy is? You are not one of those worthless TNTs are you? Because marriage won't keep you in the country, you know? #180 -

bakagaijin (11/14/2015) [-] Really? I should tell that to my post office and I should have alot of income tax reimbursement coming my way for paying nyc taxes in a city I don't live in.... (nyc is the 5 buroughs of Manhattan, bronx, brooklyn, Staten Island and queens I am aware of the legal designation of the boroughs. But when you say "New York City" it refers only to Manhattan. Even the Post Office knows that. Now, have you really lived in The City? Because NO ONE calls Queens "NYC". I mean no one. New Yorker here. "Halloween in Japan" is the name of your content. Not "Halloween in Kuramae, Tokyo". NEVER saw that shit during Halloween. Japanese people do not generally celebrate American holidays. And don't start with KFC day. That is just marketing. The only people that celebrate Halloween are rich little fucks whose parents think they will be rich businessmen in America when they grow up my students. Yes that is the work I did. And no I am not uploading my pumpkin costume I just think it stupid that there is this culture online that Japan is a crazy and wacky place, when 99% of the nation is boring as fuck. I like the boring there though. It is so relaxing.
