curious. i always thought that the bigger dogs got an average longer lifespan? i ve seen a poster at a vet about this. maybe it's more the breed than the size?
#247 - anon (10/26/2016) [-]
"The aging profile of dogs varies according to their adult size (often determined by their breed): smaller dogs often live over 15–16 years, medium and large size dogs typically 10 to 13 years, and some giant dog breeds such as mastiffs, often only 7 to 8 years."
It's not an exact science though. My husky is about to turn 12 in January, and he is in 100% perfect health aside from a couple very minor fatty tumors that we had removed. The vet is always shocked when I remind her how old he is, because he still looks and acts like a puppy. But it really does have way more to do with breed than size. Those years are the averages of the size of the breeds if you know what I mean? I'm not good with math terms and shit.

I believe it has something to do with the joints. The bigger dogs' joints go out faster or something. Every breed has different lifespans, so it definitely depends.

It could be both because i think dogs like chiuahuas(idk) can live like 14 years cuz ive had mine for about 11 while my brother had a pitbull gor about 6, she just died, but idk pretty intresting tho

He swerved away from them in the direction they were going. Very common mistake that has caused a lot of accidents. If you are going to collide with something that has momentum swerve against that momentum, not with it.

Dad and mom were jaywalking, yeah, but they probably couldn't see the driver behind the trees (another bad decision in itself, crossing illegally where you had low visibility) and it's not like they could have predicted his speed or how soon he would get there because he was still accelerating. It's not as though he came from a distance already going 75kmh.

I mean was it so hard to do what the mom did?
#161 - usaisnotamerica (10/13/2016) [-]
Well yeah bad move by the driver, but wtf was the dad doing, once he saw the car he basically started walking faster like chasing it, instead standing and letting it pass. That looked so stupid.

Yep, and because he didn't want to wait four seconds his kids are now both dead.
#68 - gersonalvat (10/11/2016) [-]
I don't have the source, I saw it on here a while back, the car was going way too fast, swerved a bit as to not to hit the kids, but the dad tried to cross anyway.
#69 - dmasterman (10/11/2016) [-]
it was the dads fault. everything you said plus he was jaywalking
#71 - stanyyy (10/11/2016) [-]
the driver was going 75 in the 40 zone though...

definitely shouldn't have been jaywalking with kids but holy fuck going that fast is dangerous.

**gersonalvat rolled image**Yes, the video is fucking sad, so many fucku-ups one after another, it was a very preventable accident.

Do you have source on the video of the kids getting hit? If not, whose fault was it? The driver for not paying attention? The dad for trying to cross what looks like a busy road?
